Would it help my recovery to exercise my legs every day?

I developed a knee injury almost 10 weeks ago, which caused knee swelling and a bent leg. I started having physiotherapy a few weeks ago and today I went back to the gym to use leg-targeting equipments. I used the stationary bike, rowing machine and resistance machines. I lost a lot of muscle from the injury so I'm trying to build it back. I'm thinking of using the equipments every day as I haven't exercised properly since the injury, but I've heard you shouldn't work on the same body part every day. But in my case, would exercising my legs everyday help?
