I done something to my chest?

I think i pulled a muscle in my chest like a month ago whilst lifting weights and the pain was really bad almost unbearable at times, after about 2 weeks it went away and i stopped lifting weights for a while, then it came back the other day after i started doing chest workouts. I am going on holidays in a few weeks and i wanted to be working out full time until then so im in good shape but i can't lift weights now. Im wondering if it will be safe for me to still do cardio excercise like running?
