"The Fucking Best. The Fucking Worst. The Fucking Hardest" Word to Dom Mazzetti
Don't kid yourself bro, your not an olympian.
Jk jk, I enjoy bench the most because I like the incline and decline variations, my upper chest used to be lagging but its now one of my better groups. Deadlift is my second favorite because I enjoy the challenge, again there are a lot of variations on it, and I have a fairly strong lower body so I enjoy how the movement feels. Fuck squats, I'll just do leg press.
Fuck do I really have to choose? I think I'd have to pick squats. Squats take the biggest balls to do. I see a bodybuilder with small legs I see a guy that doesn't have a good work ethic. Squats literally take everything out of you. Putting 405lbs on your back and squatting down takes some fucking balls. I love that feeling the next day where it's actually a struggle just to get out of your bed and walk down the stairs.
Big dudes with small legs look hilarious lol. by the way do you go parallel or atg?
I go parallel most of the time. If go too low it takes tension off my quad.
I go parallel too. I don't think going atg has any more benefits than going parallel does, but I know some people who go atg because of the stretch reflex.
Yeah it's beneficial but also puts a lot of unnecessary tension on your knees and I have bad knees from ego lifting throughout the years.
I can agree with you on that. I got tweaks in my knees already.
Of those? Squats.
I'm more of a runner, honestly. And I'd really like to learn how to do cleans properly but I am not about going to the gym looking stupid alone. Nor do I want my boyfriend (who has offered to teach me) to teach me in front of the rest of his lifting friends lol
Aw you should try. Cleans are very good for explosive body movements lol.
I have to vote squat. Due to health conditions, squat is the least damaging for me. Anything for my arms or back has to be gentle but my legs are very strong.
What do you have? If you don't mind me asking.
I have two issues that limit me.
The first is a back injury - I fell off a horse when I was 10. Basically, it was just me and my friend there... The horse I was riding fancied my friend's horse and as I took him into canter he side jumped and then immediately jumped a large jump. I had never jumped but the two actions completely unseated me and I fell. I landed with the small of my back bend over either side of the jump. I "walked"'away with a bruised spine but due to where it is (an accident soon after), I'm extremely tender. I can't even iron clothes standing up, I have to sit.
My second injury is a broken wrist. I chipped a bone fragment off and needed surgery, but I'm still in strength training.
And yes when I say bruised spine, I actually bruised the bone. There was some tendon damage but nothing they didn't expect to heal. I had a rollerblading accident a couple months later that made me paralysed for a week and a half. My dad had to carry me to the toilet, to the bed, everywhere. I couldn't lift my arms above elbow height and I couldn't move my legs at all.
Oh man I'm sorry you had to go through all the that. The only thing I can say is fortuneatly you're not fully paralyzed from the neck down. They're is a famous celebrity who's paralyzed from the neck down after a horse incident, I forgot his name, I think his name is Christopher Reeves or something, but he got it bad, at least you made a full recovery. I just want to ask, how did it feel being paralyzed? It must of been scary.
Yes it was Christopher reeves.
It was quite scary. Every day I had a little more come back to me but it wasn't a fun experience.
Mostly I'm okay now, my only big problem really is that certain positions or activities put a lot of pressure on the small of my back and I can't do lots. Tbh, even squats hurts my back, I don't do many.
You know it's crazy I always wondered what it's like to be paralyzed. Just knowing you can't move must be so demoralizing. You said your dad carried you everywhere, you never had a wheelchair? I guess it's best not to spend the money on it since you weren't going to be paralyzed long. Are there any other activities you can't really do?
Well partly I knew it wasn't going to be long but also I didn't have the strength or movement in my arms to move myself. Literally, my dad had to wipe my bum, I couldn't even twist to do something like that. If it had been on going for longer and I was older it would have been worse but I was in such pain if I attempted anything and I was completely jarred the only comfortable thing for me to do was to sit in a chair with my feet on a footstool.
Umm.. well most things I can adapt. The best example to explain positions that are very hard for me is ironing - I'm 5ft 5 and that slight bend to iron something puts an extreme amount of pressure on me. Instead, I have to sit on a bed to have the board higher up to me. I can do everything, just can't over do them.
How horrible. I can't imagine the stress and pain you must of gone through. Do you think you'll ever recover fully at some point in your life? At least fortunately you can still do most things and don't need a wheelchair.
Daily? Ah, you feel pain every day? I hope not.
Yeah I understand, when we're young we're not educated enough to understand the situations we put ourselves through.
Yeah every day. I get pain from sitting on one position too long or sitting in the wrong position. Sometimes if I bend too quickly to wash my hands at the sink I can lock my spine and it's horribly painful until I force myself to stand up straight and slowly move my hips to unlodge the feeling.
That's insane, how do you live with this everyday?
It's just normal for me. As I say it doesn't really effect me too much. I'm lucky I have an understanding boyfriend -
My previous wasn't. My current won't let carry heavy things if it hurts my back and if I'm in pain he will either take over what I'm doing or he will massage my back for me.
Most of my pain only lasts 2-10minutes (depending on the activity and length of time I did it for) so really it doesn't effect me. I just have to adapt some things because I know it's not good for me. Like sitting on the bed to iron.
Generally it's things that involve a slight bend in the spine from the bottom that effect me. I either adapt a situation to me or I exaggerate the bend to accommodate me. Often I will lean on my elbows because that allows me to straighten my back and ease the tension.
Hey nice of your boyfriend to be so caring and understanding in your time of need. Do you take any pain killers?
Oh ok. What about hot showers? Do you feel better after hot showers or no?
Hm, I know you said your used to it by know but waking up every morning knowing your gonna feel pain is... excruciating. What do you like to do that helps you get in a good mood?
Hey that's pretty good :) At least there's some things that keeps you going strong.
I like playing with cats lol.
You'd like mine. scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/.../...27372437_n.jpg
Aw she's cute. I wanna pet her lol.
Oh lmao. Does he like to purr? I always enjoyed making cats purr lol.
Haha awesome he sounds like a good kitty haha.
Aw how sweet lol. Do you feed him milk a lot? Haha
He gets a tiny bit of milk but actually most cats are lactose intolerant (I know lol). Most cats get dodgy tummies with milk or cream. You can buy cat milk in the supermarket which is basically lactose free milk but my cat hates it. He gets milk and the like in small amounts (like, if you have a bowl of cereal I let him lick the bowl clean).
I didn't know most cats were lactose intolerant lol learn something new every day. If he doesn't like cat milk what does he drink?
He drinks water :) all cats drink water :) in fact, it can be an issue to get cats to drink because they get water from wet food. That's why it's advised that you put their food and their water in separate places so when they are thirsty they don't get distracted. They aren't like dogs and lap tonnes up, they just gently lap. I'm lucky, mine drinks a fair bit.
Haha wow you know so much about cats aside from yours. I guess it does make sense to have their food and drink made separately. What food is your cat's favorite?
Did a lot of research because of him. He was a stray, he had a pretty bad start to life. We adopted him when he was 5 months old.
Likewise with water if they over drink (way more than normal) it can be a sign of kidney failure.
He eats a brand called encore. He gets fed 3 times a day because he's a big cat. He's 23 inches long (not including his tail, extra 6 inches), he's 18 inches tall and weighs 6.5kg (healthy for him). He adores the tuna and shrimp cans lol.
Oh awesome! I've always daydreamed about saving another animal and raising them as a pet. Lol yeah he does look like a big cat from the picture you showed me. Do you feed him dessert too? Haha
He's an amazing cat to be fair. My brother gave him a concussion last night by accident and he didn't get vicious, he ran into my room and hid and he hasn't left my side.
I must admit... My dad adores him and he is so spoilt. When my dad has steak the cat gets to lick the juices... If we do roast chicken or something he sits next to you like a dog and we feed him tidbits. His treat is milk but he likes cheesy mash potato and he adores marmite on toast
Haha you must got a really good cat if your dad who hates cats loves him so much. Hows your cat doing after that concussion?
Awesome! Does he play with any mouse toys? Haha

Sleep, but if you want to work hard at something that's difficult, try working on more group projects in school. :D
Those were the days lol.
In the works. I'm trying to work extra hard to compete in a female physique comp next summer.
I can't believe you want me to choose between my 2 loves squats and deadlifts! In the end I choose squats just for the variety.
Didn't mean to make it so hard for ya lol.
I'll forgive you 😘
Aww your sweet lol :P
The Deadlift is by far the most useful and practical exercise. I get paid to lift heavy shit up off the ground, carry them, and put them back down. So I do a ton of sumo deadlifts all the time at my day job.
Deadlifts for sure. Squats are nice and all but so is my ass
I bet your ass is pretty nice. Do you got buns of steel? lol.
Nice! I know you must be working hard. What else do you do besides squats?
Everything in the books.
How do you feel about pull ups?
Not a fan. I'm still working on my arms and back to get the ultimate lift but so far its not as easy. There's the pull up assist machine but even that isn't easy without focusing on core, back and arms.
Oh ok because I know pull ups will give you a stronger and thicker back. Do you care about numbers too or are you just focusing on your physique?
I'm not to worried about numbers. The ideal goal is to drop fat % and gain muscle mass.
Do you have a picture of somebody your trying to look similiar too so I can have an idea of what body your trying to get?
Nice good luck on your progress you can do it.
@EmpatheticLady Ben and Jerry's raising ice cream to mouth workout😎
Alright, count me in lmao.
Lmao will do!
Don't forget the strawberry to mouth workout too lmao!
Sounds deliciously exhausting.
@EmpatheticLady yessss it is. Let's do it together and tink spoons like we are drinking tea 😎 hahaha
I'll get the video camera lmao.
They say the deadlift is the best move to determine strength, because you'll never have to bench yourself out of a situation lol
Plus you won't have a guy helping you throughout the lift saying it's all you when it wasn't lmao. I hate when people touch the bar, to me if the bar is touched, it doesn't count.
That is a great point actually lol
Squats, because I actually feel refreshed after doing squats. Also it's kind abadass, for people who think it's easy, try doing side to side jump squats with dumbbells.
I love doing power cleans, really helps with my jumping vertical 😁
Bro, I've been trying to increase my vertical for years lol.
Bad lol I can barely touch the rim, how about you?
I prefer shoulder presses to bench presses, but there was no option.
i have never tried any of those
It's never too late to start :P
i like laying down
Haha I see. Yeah sometimes nothing beats laying on a warm comfy bed.
Voted deadlift coz that's what I'm focusing on ATM, but bench is my best lift.
I've always like deadlifts.
Me too, but when you go heavy you feel the life draining out of you lol.
True. :D
I ran track since 7th grade and love squats.
Actually I do the elliptical.
What happened to the overhead press?
Squat if I had to pick. It's the least hated
Doesn't everyone squat!
When we go to the bathroom yeah lol.
Glad you found it funny lol.
Hmm, probably because you're more busy these days?
So you probably just keep it light and do a lot of reps?
Biking is very good, keeps you active and helps with cardio. I just want to suggest something, have you ever heard of tai chi? If not you should take a look at it, I think it'll benefit you especially since your older.
Aw, do you find it boring? Some people think it's boring lol. I like it though, it really helps and has a lot of health benefits. Do you do yoga at all too?
Oh ok. I want to do just a little bit to get some flexibility.
I have very little flexibility lol. Is there any home workouts you do like crunches or anything?
You do morning stretches? I heard by stretching in the morning it can put you in a good mood for the rest of the day, but I think it varies from person to person. I never tested this myself.
bench press and squats <3
Out of these I like bench press.
Bench press and dead lift.
Squats
How come most girls like squatting? lol.
Booty lifting
Sounds good to me.
Sex ;-P
Good one lol.
As for actual exercises... It depends on what you're looking to build? I've always had long arms and bad knees so bench presses and leg exercises weren't my favs. I use to work on my lats, triceps and Abs.. since that's what the girls liked;-) I loved dip presses as I use to be able to do twice my weight.
Lemme squat for days
Squats for me.
I'll take squats.
Squats
Out of these, squat
Ok... back squats or front squats? lmao
Back fs haha
I like doing back squats better too, but sometimes I gotta do those front squats so I can build up those thick juicy quads you know what I'm saying? lmao, by the way I noticed you've answered like most of my questions, you should follow me hahaha
LOL SQUAT
Squatttt
Bench by far
I like bench press.
None of them.
