What's your favorite method of exercise?

I play a virtual reality boxing game for exercise, and while that may sound silly at first, it's actually very vigorous and it heats my body up a lot, it's ended my quest to find an exercise method that is enjoyable and safe.

Today I decided to crank up the volume by setting 3 minute rounds for a 12 round fight against an adept opponent. The first 3 rounds, I did what I tend to do, go for the knockout, throwing hook after hook, but it occurred to me that this method would only cause me to lose as I was knocked down twice in the first round, once in the second, and once in the third round.

I was also very hot at that point, I decided that for the 4th round, I'd adopt a more defensive strategy, sticking to jabs and the occasional cross punch and focusing on minimizing the amount of time that my face was unguarded.

And instead of trying to hook around my opponents guards, I simply took what opportunities my opponent left open. This strategy worked, I conserved more energy and took little damage while inflicting a fair amount of damage to my opponent.

I was confident that I had won the 4th round, I decided to stick with that tactic for the 5th round, and again, my strategy worked well. I was confident that I won the 5th round as well.

For the 6th round, I noticed how red my opponents' abs were from the opportunistic jabs I took towards them, I decided it was time to throw more cross punches and some hook punches.

Blood flew through the air from my opponent and I could tell that my defensive strategy weakened him significantly, his punches were slow and easy for me to avoid. I knocked him down 3 times in the 6th round.

In the 7th round, I went on the offense and knocked him down 5 times, with the 5th knockdown being the knockout. I'm super sweaty, but I feel great😊
