Should I cancel my apt with the military recruiter?

Short health summary
I grew up a military brat. I have wanted to go in the service since I was a youth..
When I was little I fell and hity head at the age of three. I was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5
I was diagnosed seizure free at the age of 9 or 10.
I have been hospitalized for self harm in second grade, fourth grade, freshman yr of hs and April 2014. I've never attempted suicide ot even considered it.
In 2014 I was in a car wreck and a doctor put me on seizure meds without doing an eeg first. (2 weeks after being on the meds I volunteered to go to thw hospital for self harm on my thighs)
Right now I have been off all meds for 4 months. No issues. I want to join in a year (due to medial reasons I need to be off meds for a period before I apply.)
Do I have too much against me?

Taking into consideration the poor treatment/benefits older veterans receive in exchange for years of commitment for serving their country, I fail to see why anyone would even bother.

Why don't you call him, tell your story and then he can tell you if you have a chance and if you do what will be the limitations. Then you know at once if there is any use going.

I'm pretty sure epilepsy is automatic disqualification for the military.
