Would anyone trust US military recruitment now?

For those who do not already know, the US Airforce is currently kicking out trans service members who has served up to 18 years without giving them early retirement and stripping benefits. And all this because one president during their long service to the United States disagreed with their identity and making a decision that will most likely be reverted later or even challenged in court.

Would anyone trust US military recruitment now?

The problem however is that this is a stinging betrayal of peoples trust in all branches of the military. If a random politician can at any time strip you of everything that you have sacrificed for and leave you in the dirt, why would anyone sign up at this point? There is obviously no respect here and if the government has anything to say about it then you are not even entitled to what you were promised.

I believe this will be a stain on US military history that will taint both the reputation and lower recruitment for the rest of my life. In a way it is perhaps ironic that it is the Republicans who has been concerned about the military recruitment rates in recent history. Well, I think that ship has probably sailed at this point.

But what do you think, how is public trust in the military going to change from this?
