Which is NOT a REASON why US MILITARY RECRUITING is down?

In the United States, recruiting people into the military is down. The Pentagon says it recruited 41,000 fewer people than it sought to in fiscal year 2023.

The poll below lists many of the reasons given for this. All but one of them is given by the experts as a reason for the decline in recruitment. One is made up.

Can you find the made-up reason?

Please vote in the poll.

The made-up reason will be revealed in a few days (Tuesday).

Chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan
Relatively strong civilian labor market makes military service a less attractive career path
Fewer 20-somethings have servicemember parents than a generation ago
Fewer Civics classes taught in school
Military recruiters have been slow to adapt to social media marketing
Only 23% of Americans age 17 to 24 would qualify for the military due to health and other reasons
$11 million spent on advertising deal with The Rock's United Football League (UFL)

Very interesting in that only 2 people selected the correct answer.

Several good comments on why recruitment is down, outside the reasons given in the poll. Thanks to all for the comments.
