Which is NOT a REASON why US MILITARY RECRUITING is down?

Question

In the United States, recruiting people into the military is down. The Pentagon says it recruited 41,000 fewer people than it sought to in fiscal year 2023.

The poll below lists many of the reasons given for this. All but one of them is given by the experts as a reason for the decline in recruitment. One is made up.

My personal feelings about why people aren't signing up for military service is because America has changed so drastically that it's not even a country worth fighting in a war over.
The people in America 🇺🇸 have changed and are no longer the type of people that would fight for America because they just want to stay in America and make it even stranger everyday.
Not all people, but a large majority of people.
A good example was the opening games of the Olympics this year. Fricken drag queens aren't going to join the military and fight for America, but they sure as hell want to live here and leave the hard stuff for the real men to do.
Yes, they just want to invade our children's lives in school, libraries, women's public restrooms, etc.
I think those particular group of lazy ass trouble makers should be drafted! Force them to earn the privilege of living in America 🇺🇸.
Not just that group of people, there are so many other groups of people that are too numerous to count that will not join the U. S. Military yet want to live in America and keep it crazy, 🤪 violent, men that are sis's, and it just goes on and on. Let's not forget the mentally disturbed transgender people that have more than 108 different genders now. Who wants them in our military anyway? They would only cause more casualties because all of these people mentioned aren't military material to begin with.
So, who's left to join our military 🇺🇸? My guess would be a lot of women, men who come from a family of military people, people that are somewhat normal and need a job. Who else?
The U. S. Navy is down 22,000 enlistments. What is the military supposed to work with without hands on deck?
This Biden Administration really did a number on American in the negative in so many ways. We might replenish the weapons, ships, nuclear submarines, etc., but won't have the personnel to use them. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm guessing that the afghan surrender isn't the biggest deal since the UK is also struggling to recruit. I know one lad who was rejected here because of eczema despite being fitter than most in the army so I'm guessing America is rejecting for minor issues too.
I think as military technology advances there's more need for intelligent recruits rather than just people who are too dumb to go to college or get a proper job, but many of these people now don't see the army as proper career and will just hold them up in life.

Family Court. There are countless stories of men losing their kids simply because their wife wanted to leave the dad. Famiky Courts would use a man’s service against him. PTSD or combat experience made it a done deal. Men in general are being treated like absolute shit in western countries in general. They are now largely fatherless, have no family business and property passed down to them. Meanwhile women above the 50% threshold in looks are fighting over the top 5% in looks and financial wealth and/or waiting until 30 to settle down/marry and have a kid.

there's not much worth being a mercenary for a corrupt super power anymore.

I myself am a combat wounded veteran and I lost my kids in my early 20s for no reason but “mom go now, mom no like dad now” and feminist-no-due-process family courts. Now in my late 30s I have a 8 million dollar cattle farm with no heirs and no will to make profitable. I don’t look that bad at all but after my first experience I didn’t want kids, now I do but I’d be a pretty old dad and the women I’m attracted to probably wouldn’t want to move to the wilderness with a guy who is 15 years older than them.

A lot is down to the standard of recruit required and the types applying. A lot of roles required a good level of intelligence and qualifications. There are also less kids with parents that have served. Pay is a pain point, fitness and health levels do come into it, when you have Flight Sergeants aged 50 running better 3 mile times over 19 yr n 20 year olds you know there are issues somewhere. Also recruitment goes down when there are no conflicts, strangely when there is a conflict, people want to join up, or at least that is true for the UK. Recruitment targets based on gender, race, ethnicity also mess it up. If the target is 100 a percentage must come from non white males, which is annoying if you have 120 white males. Therefore what they do is put the numbers up to 200 and recruit those 120 white males, making it appear to be a gap in recruiting, whereas they really only wanted 100. Retention is another big issue, that is a mix of pay, too many deployments and not enough detachments, overly long deployments, lack of promotion.

The civics classes. The real reason is too many obese and more importantly too low paid with a poor work/life balance. Like military life is not good for a marraige or long term relationship. Many a military husband came back from a 12 month deployment to find his wife been in a new relationship for the last 11 months but she been collecting his wages, took their savings and moved the new guy in to the house he paid 5 years mortgage on. Then he spend the next 10 years paying alimony and child support.

Also the war on terror. All that blood and treasure spent for what? Afghanistan wasn't worth one us service person's limbs

I say that the one about the great job market is the fake one. What you didn't list is the woke training policies used in todays military. Anybody who would be predisposed to join the military would probably change their mind once they find out that you might have a DI dressed as a woman.

While some of those reasons are valid, there would be enough applicants if these were addressed.

Well, the last time I read something about this topic, the article mentioned that it was recruitment among whites that was way down. The logical conclusion is that many of them have decided the military is hostile toward them.

Because many teens nowadays don’t wanna put the time and effort in and all the hard training they would rather just play video games and get on their computer and find a part-time job and act like they’re going to college to get their parents off of their backs like they are doing something it take them years and years for them to accomplish something if that. I’ve seen this all over the place that slow snail pace Schedule the same routine

I think it's mainly that most young people live with thier parents. So they know regardless they always got a home. In the past you could always fall back on the military to take you in if you had little to no options. That's just not the case anymore. And I'm not taking a shot at the boomers. But I think the greatest generation is the last generation to have to scrape for anything. Nobody truly has it that difficult anymore.

I recently saw a documentary on recruiting for the U. S. army. Apparently they now have fat camps for fresh recruits because otherwise the failure rate even for basic training would be too high. 🤔
