Girls, is having a shorter period than usual normal?

I know having a 3 day period is normal to have for some people, but when you normally have a 5-7 day period, and all of a sudden have a 3 day period, is that normal? I'm 21, healthy as far as I am concerned. Usually have a period every 28 or 29 days and usually lasts 5-7 days. This time couple days early and lasted only 3 days. It wasn't spotting, but not heavy either.

I'd say it could be unusual if it has always been one way and now suddenly changes. The body can have a weird way of trying to tell you something. Granted, if it has only happened once or twice I wouldn't be TOO worried and if you haven't noticed any other symptoms it's probably OK too. But if possible; you might want to get it checked out.

Yeah if you've changed your diet or has gained or lost weight, hormones changes. It's normal.

It was probably just a fluke. I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you taking birth control pills? Did you get a shot instead of the pills? That could be the reason get your hormones check and talk to your doctor.
