trying to get into shape before moving to texas

There is no reason to try and lose weight, as I understand it you can get into Texas nomatter what you weigh, and "getting in shape" does not mean losing weight; some of the greatest athletes in the world, in certain fields, are fat women (especially things like weightlifting, etc) - we have very screwed up ideas about weight, generally, and its possible 'dangers' - and besides, it's mostly impossible. All of those people you see losing thirty, fourty, fifty pounds, etc., will put it back on within one year. Every time you try some weight-loss regime, or "healthy lifestyle", you will begin to lose weight and then hit an impasse, and then gain weight, and think you are a failure. You are not. Our bodies do not work the way the health industry marketeers want us to believe; and they know it. Do not give any thought to losing weight.
But it is very much worthwhile to 'get in shape', if you don't frame it as 'losing weight'. You will have more energy, generally, and be exhausted less by vigorous work; you will be more awake and feel better generally, etc. It is good to do this, because it helps with all areas of our lives. *Both* resistance training and cardio are important towards this, along with a sufficient diet that includes enough diversity, etc. - but also some simple things, like maintianing good posture, ensuring you are breathing properly, etc., are important.
But the goal is to have more energy, more ability, and better health, to invest in things other than accumulating energy, ability and health, ie., not simply for its own sake, or to correct some inner insecurity about being unhealthy (or unattractive) - don't put being healthy on a pedestal, it is not useful in and of itself, and it is so amorphous and intangible you will never feel like you have it, you will always need to have more and more health. Only do something if it is helping you in your everyday life, helping you with what you are working towards, helping you be kind to others, etc.
you play rugby! god. you are probably already in shape enough. Rugby player girls shouldn't be much thinner than you :P you'll get knocked over!
Thank you! haha.
I'm planning on getting more into shape. The weight is more of a general would I look better thick, or should I go for thinner and more lean. Putting it in terms of 'how many pounds should I lose' lets me know a general body type I should go for. But I shouldmve worded it differently! Thank you (:
well, I think you look great right now, and I think would look great 100lbs lighter also, but I dont think you should lose any weight ^_^ get muscle!! calisthetics!! butch shit!! kill em ;D
Impossible to say. Get your muscle/fat ratio measured in a gym on one of those special scales and that together with your height and present weight will give you a better answer on that question. Further, it si imortant you loose fat and not muscle. Otherwise you will only get weaker, but your ody composition will not change
Change the way you eat and go to get gym to work on shaping with some cardio to thin down a little since without cardio you only will build muscle mass above the fat. You don't need a lot but I recommend you to also do some light dumbell lifting to make your arms look better shaped if you want to wear a tanktop.
It all depends on how much you worry about other peoples oppinions but knowing that you look good is just a nice boost to feeling better
200, 5'8
70 pounds. 160lb at that height is still just average to be honest.
130-140lb is where someone your height will look lean and better than the average in my opinion.

You shouldn't really care that much about the number, but just set yourself a goal. I don't think the number really matters, as long as you are healthy, exercises and looks good. To get there maybe around 55 lbs since you weigh 200
Honestly you dont look that big. You are proportionate. You dont look awkwardly large in any one area mean. And your tummy seems pretty flat. I say only lose what you want for yourself. Like to match your ideals.
How tall are you? What about your weight? You might want to use a BMI online calculator to find your max weight boundary for the normal index. Otherwise it's pretty hard to tell.
Do you even need to lose any? You look fine, it's one thing to work out to build muscle and tone up, but don't work out just to lower a number. I'm just saying.
USE MY FITNESS PAL !!! i LOST 20 ibs in 2 months :)
You okay as is but losing some weight 10 kg would be good. What is your weight now?
I would lose 35 lbs or something like that. But you are very attractive now.
30 lbs max. You look fine. Muscles have weight too, and you don't look visibly fat.
Your lowest is to high a number. Start with 10-15
25 is too much maybe
I don't know how much you weigh so I can't tell just by looking at you but I think 25 - 50 (depending on your current weight) will be good.
I think 50 lbs is a bit much. You aren't THAT overweight.
from the look of u i would say u dont need to loose any weight at all u look good
Hard to tell cause you are covered up like a nun but i'd say like 20-25 pounds is a good start
Start by having 5 kilo less goals, untill you are happy with yourself :D but I wouldnd say more than 25lbs.
How much do you weigh now? Can't judge by picture, you might only be 4 foot tall.
And a bikini pick is much easier to evaluate than jeans, shirt and jacket.
You seem to carry it okay. No visible fat rolls. Either 25 or 50 would likely be an improvement. But losing weight alone won't compensate for your other failings. You aren't pretty. and those ear things only make it worse.
I hope you're a good cook and house cleaner.
Hopefully so, but, somehow I doubt it.
@Popo21 I'm not bullying anyone. I'm giving helpful advice. Does it seem like bullying?
@Popo21 --She asked how she looks. I gave my opinion. Those ear things are horrible.
@Popo21 --Your wish has already been granted. LOL
You would look mega hot losing 50 lbs
You're a good size just tone up so I voted 25lbs
50lbs is WAY too much, you'll be a skeleton! :-P
