Yes, my dad employed a strategy that I intend to mimic if or when I ever have kids of my own - absolutely ban any and all inflatables when swimming. None are to be used at all. If you go in the water, you swim by yourself with NO help at all. Simple, but effective.

I honestly don't understand how some people can't swim. It's as easy as walking xD
I'm not talking about being Michael Phelps, but just swimming from one side to the other, or just not drowning... that's easy and just pure common sense to me.

I've been a sailing instructor on the North Sea coast when I was a student.
I just needed to get many swimming, diving and rescue certificates. It wasn't a problem: I had been swimming for 10 years and I had done some scuba diving too.

Yes because my parents had me take swimming lessons when I was a kid. I could have became a life guard but was too lazy for that. XD
