I stopped lifting a few months ago, but when I did it it was to:
- Improve my metabolism to increase fat burning
- Obviously look better and more toned
- Be physically stronger, specially have stronger arms. I always wanted to do the headstand and handstand without needing a wall but i couldn't because of my super weak arms, I always need a wall to do it ><
I'm super happy a new gym just opened next to my house and I'm starting again yay <3

To be more shapely and have a firm body.. I can target specific muscles with weights. I also do cario for more stamina and to keep my body fat reduced
I look for both. Strength is important as a man no matter where you work. Weights and testosterone keep men acting like men.
We have all these neck beards online complaining, "Woah was me no one wants to date me because women only want rich/attractive men."
My response is ALWAYS hit some weights get that testosterone up and feel better about your self...
I lift weights a few times a week. I'm always bulking because I'm thin by nature.
I don't work out for aesthetic. I workout in case I ever get into a fight I'll be able to fuck the other dude up.

My main focus is strength and emotional support. If I was just concerned about the body I would do a lot more cardio and lose some weight.
I can't stand people who lift weights. It's an insecurity.
Cardio and fitness for me mainly for physical look. Spiritually to @TuMeManques intriguing and excellent point, I try and keep a clear head, to be the best I can be for myself and others.
Mine is always to gain strength and feel good. Looks are never a factor cause i got an ugly face.
I just want to be more fit. That's it. I don't put more thought in to it.
Being strong feels great but to be honest once I started seeing aesthetic results I was hooked.
To be strong so I win in fights.
As I've gotten a little older, I started including more cardio so I will have enough energy to do stuff the same as when I was young.I focus on strength, but my reasons for lifting are definitely both.
Currently I don't lift weight because of time I do squash
