it's more complicated than that. Your body goes through stages in life; and it also relates to your activity level. If you have a sedentary job (like an office job), that will play into it. But personally, as someone who was once big and is now small, concentrate on diet and exercise. Protein first, then good carbs, then the rest.

Exercise. An important factor could be how much you eat and when. I dont eat after five anymore as metabolisms slow down during the day and when you hit thirty weight is easy to put on and hard to lose as yout metabolism slows as you get older. They eat a big breakfast, a medium sized lunch and a small dinner which works for me.
