How painful is it to get a tooth implant and then get your wisdom teeth pulled the next day?

I just got home from the dentist. The good news is that I have no cavities and that my teeth look great. A few years ago, I had a tooth pulled because it was a baby tooth and my dentist feared it would become eroded by the adult teeth that surrounded it. The bad news is that I need an implant there. Also my wisdom teeth finally came in and are partially eroded.

When I got home from the dentist, I talked to my mom and she fully supports having all of this done while I'm still on there insurance. Mainly because my parents have really good insurance. Anyways when I went to schedule my appointments for these, the receptionist said she can get me in for both next week. Because I'm an idiot, I said that sounds great. I sat there and reflected on my choices for ten minutes and wondered why I do this to myself.

Everyone is different, and I read your response to someone else about how quickly you healed from a surgery before. Maybe that'll happen again :) All I have to say is that I'm a very fast healer and have healed quickly from major kidney and heart surgeries, but still managed to look like a swollen chipmunk in pain for a good few weeks after the wisdom teeth removal. I really hope you're like the vast majority who's just fine after it. Either way, just make sure you have tons and tons of tissues/napkins by your side after the removals.

By the way, if it helps any, I think it's a wise decision to get it all over with at once and not space it out over time.

I agree get it done while you can cause these insurance changes
i know you think it's going be lot of pain. I had a 86 year old old
fashion dentist removed my wisdom teeth and yes it was painful
just for the first 24-48 hours than afterwards i was fine. This day
and age dentist know more about pulling wisdom teeth than they
did years ago just wish you the best and hope things turn out good
for you.

Sometimes it is better to get it all done at once and get it over with but the only pain is the novocaine shots and then after it wears off

I've never had an implant, but the wisdom teeth are nowhere near as bad as they're hyped up to be.

I remember getting a ton of novacaine for the tooth removal. Five hours later, I felt so fine that I felt like I never had the surgery. Maybe this will just be a repeat of that.

Honeslty I don't know. But common sense says that even though it will hurt a lot it will be over with much sooner
