I have had the flu for a week now... help?

I have had the flu for a week and I still can't breathe right. I have my inhaler and I have taken a lot of cough medicines and mucinex and even prescribed pills to open my airways and I still have trouble breathing from time to time. Any homemade remedies anyone has to offer? I don't want to go to the er to get nebulized AGAIN this year.

Take a big bowl or basin or even the sink. Fill it up with warm, hot medium water than place a towel over your head. Let the steam go up and this will
open your airways , nasal passages, if you can't taste it will open up clogged
sinus cavities.

Call your doctor. It sounds like you have a history with your breathing (inhaler) and your doctor could give the best medicine advice or maybe prescription over he phone. Quicker and cheaper than the ER.

you might have to go to the ER if it gets worse hell i was in the hospital twice with the flu because i was extremely dehydrated and the second time because i wasn't able to keep anything down and was dangerously dehydrated

If its the real flu, it takes time. Usually two weeks to cure completely and an few extra weeks to recover breath problems
