Fractured my Neck Doing Deadlifts?

if it's truly from a deadlift it must be caused by bad form, aka. not keeping a neutral spine.
neck injury in deadlifts is mostly induced by looking into a mirror to check your form while lifting and twisting the spine unnaturally, adding heavy load you are just asking for something to snap

tbh, I was looking in the mirror to keep my form... maybe that was it I don't know

straight back + neutral neck = don't look into a mirror but tilt your head down aswell. otherwise you put a lot of strain on the neck area when pulling the weight of the ground

probably a stress fracture right? you are putting an incredibly strain on your back and neck when you do a dead lift. so it stands to reason that if the stress is great enough you could cause a fracture (a crack) in a bone

But it was way up on my neck, Deadlifts work lower back, so wouldn't I have gotten a stress fracture on my lower back?

well it can be some aspects of poor technique or simply altering the way you do the dead lift to address this. there isn't much distance from the neck to the lower back and it is all connected. so any slight adjustment can lead to stress being on the neck. i'd read up about it. i know i've frequently heard from guys who lift of experiencing really bad neck pain doing dead lifts... watching it. there just seems to be a lot of tension in the neck as you stiffen your body. if there is tension there is almost always stress

I legit don't know man, Was in the middle of my rep N my neck snapped N I fell...

Too heavy, incorrect posture? Insufficient neurological strength built up before tackling that weight? I don't know. That seems unusual to me. Your doc or someone else might have a better clue.

I had proper form, moderate weight, I don't do powerlifting, So i don't focus on strength. But the doctor just gave me one of those neck brace things He doesn't know how it happened either

Must have kneaded some existing structural weakness though?

You might want to look into calisthenics. It's much harder to injure yourself in that, in my experience. You're a young lad though. This seems unusual. Sorry I can't help more.
