My friend said that's not normal. What else can I do? I can't see my doctor until January.
Anxiety causes sharp pains. Suggestions?

Trending & News Do you suffer at all with indigestion, heartburn or acid reflux? They can occur with anxiety and could also be to blame for the pains that feel like heart pain.
Anxiety can literally manifest itself as any kind of non visible symptom that your mind can conjure up. You can feel hot, cold, sick, terrified, dizzy, sore, in pain and combinations of all of those. It is a very fluid problem that keeps looking for new chinks in your armour. It is always looking for new ways to freak you out. The medication that you are taking may well not be strong enough or effective enough, depending on how long you've been taking it. If you are only recently on it then that's not likely to be a consideration just yet.
It's not uncommon to have an anxious reflex action that coincides with a thought. An example would be a leg or foot spasm that coincides with thoughts of guilt or fear. It becomes an unconscious action with a mental association that triggers it. It may have happened once or twice, perhaps without you even linking the two, and your over alert brain has linked them.
Either way, if the chest pain only occurs with a stressful thought then it's not an indication of anything serious in particular. If it the pain intensifies then visit the hospital, obviously.
Just another thought, does anything happen with your breathing when you have these thoughts? You may not have noticed but maybe try and notice.
I highly suggest going and talking to your doctor about it. That is not normal and it is most likely a sign that something is wrong with your heart cause it can't take the strain of stress on it from having anxiety.
Maybe you have a knot in your chest and tensing up from thinking about anxious things pulls on it making it worse?
Do you do yoga or any kind of stretching? Maybe you can ask a sibling or parent for a massage or take an Epsom salt bath and see of that helps?
Interesting.
Your a teacher so answer this for me.
Let's say your having a test in your class and one of your students respond to this by crying and whimpering because they forgot to study what would you do?
