I mean have you ever googled for what death is like? Sometimes it's peaceful but sometimes it lasts hours and is painful and terrifying.

I just don't see this as a big deal. Everyone dies. When a loved one dies (like a parent), it's actually proof that you're alive because people have been losing and mourning over the death of parents since the beginning of time. Having it finally happen to you is an affirmation of life. I mean, if anything, haven't you ever wondered if you're really alive? I admit, I have in the past and it wasn't until I started losing things (i. e. getting old) that I truly started to feel alive. Like you know how when you were really young, older people would always say things like "Young people think that they're going to live forever"? I used to think that was stupid -- who in the world thinks that they're going to live forever? But as I got older, I understood what they meant. While I didn't logically think I was going to live forever, I had no concept of the meaning or value of time. My time never truly felt finite until later in life.

Yes that's exactly right. When I was young I was the same.

Maybe now I'm going to the other extreme heh.
