Is this the worst way of losing a child, witnessing it all?

I believe this has got to be one of the worst ways of losing a child. So this 21 year-old young lady was snorkeling with her mother. Then she gets surrounded by 3 tiger sharks, whom are known to be aggressive.

The mother screams at her to swim towards her. When she does that, the sharks start attacking her and her right arm is severed in the process. The mother (without hesitation and putting her own life at extreme risk) swims in the middle of a shark frenzy to get her daughter to safety. She manages to get her daughter out into the rocks but the girl still succumbs to her injuries, dying in her arms. Among the many stories of people that lost a child, is this the worst one? You witnessing it all, trying your best to save your child, getting them to safety but it's still not enough and they die. The girl's father said his wife remains very traumatized.

Yes, it's a very sad situation indeed. However, it's not the very worst way to lose your child.

I have read horror stories about the different ways that children have been violently murdered by their own parent or parents. One 2 year old boy had his arms pulled right out of their sockets by his own father who continued to beat him until he died. I read about it in the newspaper in 1985 and have never been able to get that poor baby off of my mind.💔✝️🧸

Those types of scumbags are sperm and egg donors that never deserved to have kids. Seriously, they had other options such as giving the kid away for adoption if they weren't going to care and love the child. Though they are the exceptions (few in the population) and most people in generally are loving parents that would do anything (even risking their own lives) to save their child.

BThis is a very sad situation, an incident came to my mind. I was chased by 3 dogs and they were wild dogs. At that moment, I fell to the ground and both of my legs were bruised.

Yes, this is my trauma and I run away when I see a dog, this situation affects me very badly.

Yeah, pretty gruesome. I can't make a judgement call over which is the worst way to lose a child. Cancer and drug addiction are probably up there.

Yeah it has the same result in the end; the loss of your child.
I imagine that poor lady must be having permanent PTSD, even suffering from nightmares. She definitely would need intensive therapy.

thank you, it was a long time ago...

there is a positive aspect... if your kid dies somewhere... like in a car accident, and you learn it from a police phone call... there is no closure you can create fast enough to move from grieving to healing... you question fate, God, or whatever you believe in...

but when it happens with you involved... you know "why" you understand the cause-effect flow... you just need to accept reality and make peace with your feelings...

yes... it takes time... it hurts af... but I think it's better that way...
