I've never used the gym showers in my 3+ years of going to the gym regularly. Those showers are rank af and I'm not into being started at by a bunch of smelly, middle-aged women as the occasional toddler runs by. I'd by far prefer to just shower at home, half an hour post-workout.
When I go to the gym, I usually go straight home and shower there. I dunno if other girls feel the same, but for me, I have really long/think hair and it takes hours to dry after washing. So I just see it as a hassle and would rather wash/style/dry it at home.
I can't speak for all women, but many of us need more products for our hair than are convenient to travel with.
It makes more sense to shower at home where I can manage my hair in comfort (often with Netflix as a distraction).
Well I'm a girl who goes to the gym and doesn't take a shower there. For me it's just that I don't feel comfortable with showering in front of others; I'd rather shower in the comfort of my owm home. It doesn't bother me to see other girls showering, just that I wouldn't want to. I guess it's part of the reason why I go to the gym in the first place, I haven the reached my goal body yet and I'm not very comfortable with it!
We have been raised to be overly body shy and modest, so many of us can't get naked in front of other women. (I can. I'm a nudist.) Plus, sometimes those showers are petri dish.
Im usually not bothered to bring all my toiletries, towel, extra sett of clothes etc. Its just take too much space in my bag.
They just take a shower at home. It's more comfortable and less dirty
I never shower at the gym, I have a way more comfortable showering scenario at home.
I don't shower at the gym, I wait until I get home.
for me... it's just awkward to shower there. I'd rather just drive home and use my own.
They probably prefer taking showers in the comfort of their home.
I rather shower where I know who has been in my shower.
