Would you leave a girl if she got fat?

both my best friend and her older sister just got dumped. my best friend put on like 10 pounds in the past few months, so now she's like 5 pounds overweight. her boyfriend left her for getting fat. her older sister just had a baby 6 months ago and her husband said he didn't realize she'd still be fat that long after giving birth (she just got off bed rest a few months ago and has been going to the gym every day) and he asked for a divorce and is now dating a girl who is size 00.

if looks aren't important and it's the inside that counts, why do guys leave when girls put on a little weight?

My ex and I dated nearly 4 years and she left me because she "doesn't like fat guys". This of course after she lost a few pounds herself and started wearing make up and dressing sluttier. All the new attention from hotter guys just did me in I guess.

It absolutely destroyed me. I am not even fat, I'm chubby at best. I loved her so much.

That's so sad. I'm really sorry. if it makes you feel any better (probably not but I'll say it anyway) I actually PREFER if a guy is 5 or 10 pounds overweight. it makes him nicer to hug.

i think she just got caught up in discovering her "new powers" and thought she had it made getting hit on by all the "hot" guys. big mistake.

Ironically, I am 5'10" and 200lbs. But I am proportionately chubby. I have a round face and wide cheekbones, but I have a big chest and a little belly (my chest is bigger than) so I am just a big guy. Ya you're right, she did get caught up in that. But, I guarantee she can probably find better looking, but never someone who will treat her like I did. Hopefully someday she realizes that because she has no idea what this has done to me. Emotionally, self-esteem, everything. it destroyed me.
