Gym addiction is not what would be annoying. I would be annoyed that you would talk about it all the time. Conversations and communications must be engaging and two sided. You need to listen to people too. You only get listened to if you listen to others. And you only learn new things when you are listening. So if you go on and make every conversation about yourself and one certain subject you are pursuing, you definitely going to annoy a lot of people and they going to lose interest in engaging conversations with you because they know what's gonna happen.
I don't like sport, gym, the outdoor activities (hiking etc.) and similar stuff, so I won't be interested in such things. I finds it boring, but it's not a problem since I'm always trying to find friends with the same interests as me and they can find their own sporty friends.
No! If anything I wish more people were passionate about fitness! I know my friends and family get sick of hearing me talk about my workouts or how much weight I've lost/gained for the week, lol
You just need to find other like minded people to talk to- then you can talk about it all day!
Well said
Nothing wrong with it. My sisters, and I, work out 5-6 days a week.
The talking part is only bad when that's what you do most of at the gym instead of working out! ... lol
You should!
Not everyone has that kind of discipline... you should be proud of it and keep it up!
You do cardiovascular, free weights, exercise classes or?

I mean...
I'm a gym guy myself but I don't share it with others. It's okay to talk about it. Just as long as it doesn't become obsessive. Especially because not everyone will be interested and that's okay 😊
I'm proud of you though!!!
More people should be fitness minded like you!!! It's better to be talking about a passion for fitness rather than how much you enjoy eating pizza and watching Netflix 😅 so keep it up! And don't feel bad about talking about it.
As a matter of fact, fitness is a part of my identity so much that I plan on becoming a personal trainer. I'm excited 😊
not really as it's their life but what does actually annoy me is when they start trying to tell me I should do it too
I had it when i was training to be a teacher of freestyle karate so while i wasn't teh fittest guy around (even less so nowadays) i got all the exercise i needed from my training and running around after 2 kids and working nights
Yes! I’m not a fan of health freaks. Their vanity aggravates me. Necessary exercise can be done modestly at home via regular walks (like I do) or lifting your own weights.
Exercise in a gym should only be for current or aspiring footballers, and fat chicks who struggle to find boyfriends
That's just wrong. The gym is open for everyone.
It really depends on how your obsessing. Sharing your times are progression is really cool and anyone, friend or date, should be cheering you on or sharing similar details. Now taking a ton of gym selfies. That's annoying.
Im a personal trainer so gym addicts are kinda my job lol
Everyone has to follow it's path and of course needs to speak about it's passions. One has to keep in mind that unless you speak with another addict, speaking about him is really really really boring after 20 seconds. So politely we listen, but after that we tend to avoid that person who spoke about it for 40mn. Same for golf addicts, and run addicts.
I respect it. Strength is something you gain with your own hands and nobody can deny it from you.
No, as long as they keep me out of it. I like people who look out after themselves in healthy ways, gym is one of them. Better than the opposite, someone who obsessed with junk food and can't stop
It annoys me when people find reasons to talk about the fact that they go to the gym when nobody asked.
Aside from that, I don't give a shit.
To me it's positive someone has the determination to go the gym regularly, so in that respect, good for you. You likely talk a lot about it, because it's mostly all you know or rather, it might be something you are truly focused on for the first time. It'll pass.
It could be about anything. Like don't get me talking on some subjects I will go on forever. Like conspiracy theories, old cars, film cameras, lingerie and farming.
No. Why should it bother me that other people are constantly trying to improve themselves and their health? That's a positive thing. The only people that find them annoying are probably the ones with poor health that feel attacked lol
It would depend on how you talk about it.
I train as well - well, try to.
Though, if someone is judgmental of how much I train, how I train or something, then I would not want to talk with that person.
Yes, you do. ;)
Bear in mind that whatever you do, no matter what it is, job, hobby, career, whatever, is WAY more important to YOU than anyone else.
No, I workout 24/7 because growing up I've heard the fat jokes and I got tired of getting bullied. I'm not fat anymore because I wasn't 6"5 my while life. I have the face shape and body shape of Carmelo Anthony short of. I can't remember the fat jokes but u remember getting bullied by my family and their tool friends
No, because I live for the workouts and love talking all health stuff
Yes! These, and the travel people. Like…all of you, please: nobody cares. No, no, shut up, nobody cares. Nobody cares about how you work out or where you've been. They only pretend. So shut up, leave normal people alone.
People don't "always" want to hear about all your accomplishments and how "great" you feel. It can definitely get severely annoying to hear constantly. You have to find other obsessed people and talk about it with them instead.
Anybody who has found a new found passion is annoying. We get. You're happy. Now lets diversify the topics of conversation.
I th8nk you are confusing gym addiction (which is more like the lifestyle you need to gave to see results and be healthy rather than an addiction) and bragging too much about what you do there. Constantly talking about a topic can be annoying
Nope, but I wish female addicts would occasionally get off the cardio machines and try some weights, haha.
I’d only be annoyed if it’s all they ever wanted to talk about. Otherwise, I appreciate people who try for healthy lifestyles.
Not unless they talk about it 24/7, brag about it and look down/push anyone that doesn't exercise but that is the case for many gym addicts.
Yeah theyre like vegans, annoying. If you work out and love the gym so much trust me we'll notice it. If you're overweight (no offence) and keep talking about it then you'll get a lot of people eye rolling in their head.
Anyone who talks about one thing too much is aggravating, but it's normal to talk a lot about something you just started
No. People like to talk about the things they're enthusiastic about. Why should this be any different?
nope they are just trying to get healthy while the rest of the world eats trash and sits on their ass
So true and there lot of them.
Yes. Do whatever you want, but don't bore people to death with your stuff.
No. I created a makeshift gym on my front deck to avoid useless advice and sweaty equipment. The downside is it's all been covered up for the last 3 months due to winter climates. At least there's push and situps no matter..
doesn’t bother me. What does is when you constantly talk about it.
IDGAF. To each their own. At least they're active and healthy.
Yes and sometimes, they look good already but still not satisfied, so annoying
Well how else can you stay that way if you don't continue to work out
@bklynbadboy1 it should be on a moderate level not trying to look too huge
True
No, I enjoy going to the gym though I don't talk about it as much as I do about books.
Only when it becomes their entire identity, and they have no other aspirations in life.
Only if they base their entire identity around it and thats all they talk about. + if they're pretentious about it and look down on people who don't. That goes for most thing tbh.
As long as it doesn't negatively effect your health or others around you then I don't see a problem.
Too much exercise can harm you just like no exercise can.
I used to hate it because I thought that my husband's addicted to working out and the gym but I realized that it's one of his unchangeable habits and I stopped bothering myself about it anymore.
Nah it’s cool. Especially if I need some fitness advices
Not really, they helped me fix my form and provide decent tips to help my fitness.
Not in my case... it's pretty obvious that if working out is one of your top priorities you'll talk about quite often...
I'd rather be around gym addicts with nice bodies any day compared to obese pigs.
Obese women calling themselves "curvey" is actually more annoying.
Good that things matter. Not good if it excludes a relationship with me.
Yes, because that's all they will mention and stuff
If they tell me to follow their lead yes. I had a friend who was a gym addiction she was super annoying. And made me feel like a kitty
Who doesn't enjoy hearing about workout routines or heated debate over which creatine supplement is best
No, I like those people. I find their dedication inspiring.
Some do others not so much just like people in general.
Because I do not have the ambition to stick with it.
Nope there doing there thing why would bi hate on them for that
Not really, I'd say good on them. Wish I could be more disciplined like that.
not as much as drug addicts. i know a few of those. weed stinks.
It’s just something I do care about much. I mean it’s good your going to the gym just don’t share it with me.
As a fellow gym rat... no.
fuck do I do that too...
Yes. I go to the gym as well but I have a life outside it.
I'm not annoyed, I'm one of them. Just don't talk about it to the mortals.
Only ego lifters and people who lie about how much they lift
No cause they wanna be healthy there nothing wrong with that.
I'd like to watch a gym addict when she works out. Then I'll decide 😂😂😂.
i hit gym like 20 days in row, am i gym addict? xd
No I’m a yogi I live for it and the instructors help when you get tired.
