In 1980, there were 857 million overweight and obese people on the planet. Today that number is 2.1 billion, which means that nearly 30 percent of the world's population is obese or overweight. This pandemic effects children to elderly and is increasing health care costs exponentially. I’m 63 and have embraced both diet and exercise as my lifestyle choices. I’m wondering what the general consensus is on GaG on hunks over 50?

I'd say good for them but other than that I don't really think much of it. My grandpa used to work out for two hours every day. One hour after waking up in the morning before breakfast and one hour in the evening. This was a habit he had picked up during his military days and he stuck to it for 80 years. He lived to become 96 years old. He never experienced any cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes or anything else. Even the week before he passed away his blood work looked excellent and the doctors said he had absolutely no problems.
Personally, for me is not desirable or appealing but I do respect and admire that a man at that age maintains a good physical condition and workout routine!
Hey I am 50 and I still have a 6 pack of abs. But I also do Ginseng and other root crops in farming. Yep, I am a farmer and I break my body every year. I have 16 - 20 somethings work for me, and they can't do what I do. It is a real shame they should be able to out work me, and they can't even come close. I hate to see when it will be like when I retire from farming.
I don’t expect you too; that would be like dating your dad or grandfather. Say you and your family are on vacation at a beach, and your 50+ dad, uncle, whom ever has his shirt off — would you be embarrassed by his physique?
