2K opinions shared on Dating topic. In their physical prime? For sure. In their social value prime? Rarely. That's because nearly all men start their adult lives with zero value and must build their worth from scratch, and that takes time. Social value-wise, men typically peak from mid-30s to 50 or so.
Most women don't value men in their physical peak (which doesn't necessarily mean ripped or super fit) if they have few resources and little in the way of status. For example, a doctor or lawyer may hit peak fitness at 25, but he's probably still poor and working 50 hours a week. 10 years later, when he's making $250,000 or more per year and only needs to work 35 hours a week, and can take 3-4 weeks off per year, most women will find him far more attractive.44 Reply

I mean, sure as I say, there's always a charm to youth. But youth is really wasted in the young.
Like I was a personal mess in my 20s. In my 30s, I'm just all around infinitely more confident, assured, know how to manage my energy, my mind is way clearer and more focused.
My health and fitness is much better than in my 20s.
Sure, my beard is greying a little, but my skin is still almost perfect, and I kind of like the fact that there's a little character in the slighty weathering. I feel like there is some rugged charm.
Energy is nothing if it is wasted.

We're all in our prime in our mid 20s. Unfortunately this world robs us of our best years and it's by design so we don't have the time to have as many children. And for those who do want them it forces people to form larger age gap relationships that are much more likely to end in divorce.

2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I agree. Men seem to be in their prime from 20-30 and women a bit later like 30-40. a lot of men seem to want to flip this but it's pretty easy to tell just by looks/signs of aging that men are in their prime earlier than women.

1 yWhat does "in their prime" really mean? If you limit men to only a specific age group, you're missing out on a lot on interesting, and experienced, men.

Seriously, I was super fit in my 20s, but egotistical, lacked forethought, selfish, lacking in emotion as a lot of men are that age. It's typical from what I've witnessed. But as you age, you start to grasp what you consider important values and you start to focus on other things. Mentally and emotionally I would say I'm close to my peak now, given my career status, my opinions on life, etc.
16.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. Only physically. Other than that, most of us are in our primes at older ages, certainly intellectually and as the result of life experience.
10 ReplyYou're not alone in thinking that men are in their prime in their 20s, but perspectives on "prime" vary widely. Physically, men tend to peak in strength, speed, and endurance in their 20s, but emotional maturity, financial stability, and career growth often come later, in their 30s or 40s. Social and biological factors contribute to different perceptions of prime age, with some people valuing physical vitality while others prioritize experience, wisdom, and stability. Many believe that the "prime" is subjective, depending on what qualities one values most—whether that's physical prowess, confidence, or personal success.

Physically, the guy I was 25 years ago could run circles around me now, but I've learned a lot over the last 25 years that mean I'd outsmart that version of myself any given day and twice on Sundays.
And there's things guys can do to regain some of the physical stuff in our 50s now that weren't available 20 years ago. Male HRT patches or injections can restore the T levels to mid 20s levels which can help recover muscle mass and healing speed. It can also help reverse metabolic syndrome - type 2 diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Note: Help reverse. Guys need to take lifestyle into consideration, not just dadbod issues!10 Reply
1 yPrime I think is like the peak. Like if your in your prime your as high as you can go and the rest is downhill so with guys maybe 30-35. Like when a male deer is in their prime they are the biggest and strongest they will be but die during the winter.
10 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. Turning 27 in a month and I do admit that im more in my prime now than I was at 22 or 23
By this metric my prime will stretch past 30 so I don’t think mens prime goes from 20 to 29 per say
More like 25 to 35-40
Of course I've met men over 50 that put us all to shame in their youthful vigor so who tf knows00 ReplyMen are in their physical prime in their early to mid-20s. When polled; however, women tend to rate men as more "attractive" older. This is likely because women typically want to date older men. I think that most research show's women find men most "attractive" in the early to mid 30s. Allegedly women on dating apps find men in their 50s the most attractive, but I think there's something screwy going on there.

Men in their 50s?
- 1 y
In online dating polls yeah. I think something weird is going on with the stats there though. My presumption is that older women are more likely to be on dating apps and since women always prefer their man to be older it skews the age up. It's either that or a sugar daddy thing. I presume the former though as I imagine the researchers would've tried to exclude that as a possibility in the questionnaire.
344 opinions shared on Dating topic. I would extent it to at least 35-40 at least when it comes to physical prime. Thats were men seem to loose muscles based on gym (max rep/weight) statistics.

Like men women loose their strenght around age 40 aswell
1 yYou and biology. This hit the wall thing is more gaslighting from men. Most older men have guts and look awful while the women I know still look 10 even 20 years younger than their male counterparts of the same age.
10 Reply8K opinions shared on Dating topic. Physically men are in their prime in their 20s. Pro athletes are often over the hill once they hit their 30s. But as people get older they learn a thing or two and can compensate for the physical deficit that in inevitable.

1 yLady - I also think women are in their prime in their 20s - I turned 30 this year, I'm already feeling like surely pension age is only a few decades more away for me aka I'm halfway there to late 60s lol :P at 30 😈😈😋💜

I agree that men are in their prime in their 20s. Certainly they are at their peak physically and their looks have peaked. Moreover, a man's sexual market value peaks in his 20s.
03 Reply- 1 y
@MK1997 Lots of women are older and generally older women are attracted to men near their age. A few younger women are attracted to much older men. However, most younger women prefer men near their age. The median age difference for first marriage is 1.9 years--30.3 for men and 28.4 for women. That could be interpreted as men age 30 have the highest sexual market value. However, that is because women in their late teens and early twenties when their sexual market value is the highest are choosing to wait until they are older and men can only marry if the women are willing.
- 1 y
Marriage has nothing to do with sexual value. If you look at studies all say young women prefer older men for dating and relationships. But there is no study that focuses on sexual value so there's no way to determine that. However women lot of times associate dating with sex. So this could mean the studies show who women consider most sexually attractive too
567 opinions shared on Dating topic. Nope, I think so too. Everyone is in their prime in their 20's. Youth is more beautiful from a biological point of view because it's when we're healthiest.
00 ReplyI think women are in their prime later than men (like in their 30's). Men in their 20's, there are signs they're past it by their 30's, generally speaking.

1 yIn what way? Sexual Peak is about 29. Physical peak around 28 (according to most pro sports). Financially would be older, better job and debts paid off

Don't get me wrong but this is the first time i hear a pink saying they like young men in their 20s
10 Reply566 opinions shared on Dating topic. I would depend on what you mean by "Prime". Physically it would be their late 20's, but Socially it would be from their mid 30's on, when they are settled in their careers, have the stupidity of their youth out of the way.

1 yYes you are. I am definitely in way better shape, more well rounded financially, and better looking in my thirties. Guys in their 20's are still basically teenagers.
011 Reply- 1 y
That might have been true before but guys who are in their 20s currently have more maturity and life experience it seems than men who are 30 and older. Something about the differences on generations. Millennial men are teenager babies in comparison to gen z men who act like adults
- 1 y
@Apple1996 that is entirely anecdotal. As is this entire subject.
- 1 y
@Apple1996 in what region of what country? I work with a bunch of gen z new hires and they are all clueless, don't know how to ask for things they need done, and just stare at their phones waiting on things to happen instead of going about making it happen themselves.
- 1 y
@Apple1996 no, they actually really don't know anything.
- 1 y
@Apple1996 hmm, they're great at pushing boundaries you say? Thats amazing, because 90% of them get fired for being worthless as opposed to getting promoted.
And I think you cut people out fast because you are female and that is your natural mechanism. You probably just made friends with a bunch of terrible people, them being millennials probably had very little to do with it. - 1 y
Getting fired isn't always a bad thing. It can mean room for improvement and moving up.
And wtf it has nothing to do with me being female. Me and my husband often share friends. We've both agreed it's just about impossible to find responsible millennial friends. Can't have some dumb ass friends around our kids
