Do you need absolute silence to sleep or can you sleep with loud noises in the background? (Page 2)

tbh the more i get older, i need silence. i could sleep in every noisy situation before and it never bothered me.
but now i can’t even sleep if there’s a fly in my room

I need some soft noise to fall asleep but after I've already gone to sleep nothing short of shaking me will wake me up

I find it hard to fall asleep if there are loud noises, but once I’m asleep a cow could explode outside my window and I wouldn’t hear it.
