Sounds like you have Pilonidal disease. The most common term most often used is Pilonidal Cyst, but thst is a misnomer because it's not actually a cyst and doesn't met the description of a true cyst. In actuality it's really a Pilonidal Sinus as the work sinus refers to a tunnel or tract. Often these Pilonidal sinus are chronic and are usually loaded with hair. Many times they grow so painful that they have to be cut out by an experienced surgeon. There are several videos on YouTube about it.

It's likely a cyst.
