So since I was 17 i started getting anxiety attacks so bad I could only eat soup for about a year. Then I began eating more and more solid food without choking. Then since 3 months ago I been eating normal however can’t eat solid food at night choke. Then in those 3 moths my eating was normal I ate fast and ate burgers daily tacos chicken pasta cookies etc. I even at at night more yet the highest weight I been is only to 87lbs. I was 83 then 86 then 87 now down to 83. Even wen I ate burgers tacos daily I was still super skinny I don't know why. I look same except now my face is slimmer. I always had weird stick arms but soemtimes do weights with dumbbells so have tiny muscles there. Since 4 days ago I began to choke on all foods I ate. I was anxiety free eating cookies and chewing and without my control a tiny piece slips into my throat & i got red purple face & Almsot choked. However past week I was eating normal so I’m confused. Now I’m eating mashed potatoes daily with butter only & cheescake & high calorie yogurt & 3 smoothies a day. Tomrow I’m adding beans and avacado to my mashed potatoes however hope next week I can eat my usuall eggs penut butter sandwhiches and homemade chicken soup at least. I can eat sweet potatoes as well but very slow. I was eating cake but took faster normal bites and choked. Im going to the gym Tomrow and Friday. Any help? Here r pics of my arms n legs are more thinner while arms look they sorta have some fat. I’m 5ft. My face looks not anorexic but my jaw is slimmer. I don't know if I’m healthy or not

I had a similar issue as a young teen. For years I swallowed everything like a pill, with water. Its hard to explain, but I was letting my mind get in the way of what should be a natural process. Realize that it is your conscious mind messing with what should be a subconscious process, and distract your conscious mind by thinking about something else
However now todayI drank 3 smoothies and for once reached my potassium and protien goal. On days I ate solid food I missed a lot of protein n nutrients. However will I not gain weight with smoothies only? As I’m only eating mashed potatoes all day for food adding beans tomrow with the. Mashed potatoes and avacado mashed
Are you sure it is all anxiety? There are some medical conditions that cause choking like if you have an esophagus ring caused by reflux. I thought I was having stress because I have a lot of anxiety but I had the ring and a stomach hernia. Make sure you get a good check up. Are you with a therapist for the anxiety?
If your doctor hasn't done a scope he or she needs to. There could be some mechanical issue down there. I was having a lot of pain eating and I found out I actually had a medical problem. I was starting to get scared to eat and I've never been that way before. If it hurts when you sleep they need to look into why.
Did you do the barium swallow where you swallow a pill and they see if it catches? They need to check you for allergies too and celiac's both can cause swallowing and digestion problems. Something is setting off the gastritis. Are you taking any meds?
I think some of us are meant to be lightweights! I can eat what I like, and rarely go above 90 lbs. I think my highest was 95 about 3 years ago. Normally I am 88. I am only 1" taller than you. If I try and eat more, I just feel ill.
