I don’t have a simple answer to your question because, for me, to shower or eat first after a workout is determined by many factors.
The type of workout. I tend to eat first after expending so much calories from a 6-to-10 mile outdoor running compared to energy expended from doing a 40 to 60 minute weight training workout.
The intensity of workout. My running workout is usually more intense than my 20 to 30 minute HIIT. My overload weight training workout is more intense than my easy run workout. Usually, the greater the intensity of the workout, the higher the likelihood I would eat first after an intense workout.
What am I eating? The meal to eat determines whether I should eat or shower first. I tend to eat something light after an intense workout for an immediate energy boost. Sometimes I eat heavy immediately after a workout regardless of its intensity. It’s reported the body makes maximum use of calories eaten immediately after a workout.
What is available to eat? There are times what I want to eat requires meal preparation from scratch. I’d then start preparing the meal and have it cooking. While it is cooking I’m having my shower.
My gym has showers but I never use them. I sometimes grab fruits or sandwiches and eat them as I walk home after a gym workout.
It depends.
I can't go to the gym anymore, because of what's going on, but normally what I'd do, is have a protein bar soon after finishing, before walking home to have my post-workout meal and then showering - if the meal is taking time to prepare, then I'll shower first.
Now though, because I workout in my room, I shower first, then go downstairs to eat.
Depends on whether the food is ready or not. I shower when I get home, but i first eat something. And sweat doesn't start to smell immediately. I don't wait 5h to get home after the gym, i usually go home right after, maybe I will stop to buy something, but nothing more.
Shower then eat. Something about eating while I'm sweaty and nasty doesn't really appeal to me, haha.
If I'm really starving after a workout, I might grab a protein bar or shake, just for some fuel. But I always eat my meal after I'm nice and clean

Eat. Just make a shake with whole grain oats, some peanut butter and some berries for flavor. It will taste pretty bad, but according to my personal trainer, you should eat something as soon as you can after a workout (ideally a full meal within 45 minutes of finishing).
Your body will begin leaching glucose from your muscle immediately, so you need to put carbs into your body to minimize the damage.
For feminine hygiene purposes, A woman should try to shower as quickly as possible after working out... especially if it was something outside of swimming...
Eat. I don't mind being a little grungy after a swim. I eat like a horse when I'm done. If I'm not hungry when I shower I'll take the time to take a proper one.

Unless i smell real bad, I only shower at night right before i go to bed. workout included. i'll shower after swimming, but that's about it.
I shower first after a workout. Sitting down on a chair or sofa after sweating doesn’t sound that hygienic to me 😂
I'm not so concerned about showering post workout, since I don't generally sweat nor smell.
So I eat.

I've never met anyone who has said, they don't sweat... in my mind, if I'm not drenching sweat while in the gym then I'm not burning fat. Out of curiosity, what physical shape are you in?
I'd love to be able to work out n still look good during and after.. thats why I get so confused at women who go to the gym in a full face of makeup. I've don't this once bx I was coming straight from work.. n I'd never do that again. I sweat so bad my mascara and eyeliner was running into my eye from the sweat dripping. I do however do high intensity workouts... nothing better than pushing yourself to u feel like you're going to puke lol.
90% of the time, I will eat first, then shower. I am always STARVING after a good workout.
I can't even leave the gym without showering and it grosses me out when people do.
I don't work out much, but when I do, I always go for a drink of water or juice first.
Personally I train everyday and I live 20 mins away from my gym so I eat first but if I lived closer I would shower first coz I always want to eat with in 30 mins of finsihing
I shower first. I think showering needs to be immidiate after a work out.
I've always showered first as soon as I've got home from doing a workout so I guess you can say that it's become routine for me 😊

How? You do understand that sweating happens during a workout right? Not before? So why would you shower before you workout? You will just sweat during your workout and then after you'll have to take another shower to prevent your sweat from seeping into your skin. So what you said doesn't make any sense. It makes no sense to shower before you workout if you don't want sweat to seep into your skin, that's why showering AFTER would prevent that, not before.

I eat first. Only because I’m on a strict regimen and I stop eating at a certain time of the day.
Eat!! Give me me food!! Usually. But depends if I’m a puddle of sweat and my clothes are wet 😂

No, I exercise first before I shower. I don't eat after exercising because it will ruin the purpose of working out.
I do neither. I take a shower right after a workout, then i go home and make dinner.
Shower first, so my body can slow down. I get sick if I try to eat too soon after a workout.
