Why are we not talking about height privilege?

Question

I'm 6''4 and find that myself and others in my situation are systematically demeaned due to our height. The entire world is built for short people.

- I'm sick and tired of hearing "Do you play basketball?"

- I'm sick and tired of hearing "How's the weather up there?"

- I'm sick and tired of shorter folk bumping into us - as if we aren't visible

- I'm sick and tired of walking into shops and not finding my size, if that's for shoes or clothes

- I'm sick and tired of being sexualised by women

- I'm sick and tired of walking through 6ft doorways and the constant risk of injury

Amongst other things.

Why are we talking about this more?

ARE YOU F*CKING SH*TTING ME?  I legit thought this article was going to be about short men being upset at how unfairly the world treats them, and it ends up being a guy who won the genetic lottery whining about bullsh*t! Keep in mind, I probably still wouldn't have fully agreed with the idea of "height privilege" even as a guy less than six feet tall (because there are some minor downsides that come with being tall, even if they are inconsequential compared to all the massive downsides that come with being short, thereby not making it a full luxury and perk to being tall), but  this ? Come the f*ck on!  This legit annoys me. This is like somebody bitching about being a multi-millionaire and how he has to pay 15% in taxes, or being too attractive and constantly having people compliment her and give her perks. Worst of all, you're not even all that tall! If you're going to whine about being genetically gifted, at least do so at 6'8" and above, for f*ck's sake! Do you want to trade your height "privilege" with me? I'll happily take the "negatives" of occasionally bumping my head on things and not having airplane leg room if it means instant respect/intimidation wherever I go and being bale to attract women with relative ease. If you want to be genetically worthless and completely invisible among society as just another worthless human being that is objectively disposable and replaceable (aka "average"/short), then by all means, let's swap heights. "systematically demeaned due to our height."  at f*cking six foot four! And not a five foot four male. You're a troll. No 25-29 year old man would say this. Not even a male feminist would whine this much.

There used to be a guy who would come into the bar I used to bounce at, had to be 6’10. Said he was sick of people saying “you’re really tall! Do you play basketball?”, so he started responding “you’re really short! Do you play mini-golf?”😂

To be honest I'm sick of hearing about any privilege.

Also, this isn't that uncommon. My brother is 6'4. He is taller than most, but nothing crazy.

I'm tall for a woman at nearly 5'10 and get comments often. However, I don't think anything of it. I've been tall for my age all my life, I am aware of it and generally the comments are positive or meant to be positive. Being tall is usually seen as a good thing. When I saw the question was addressing 'height privilege' I actually assumed it would be from someone short moaning about the advantages of being tall - there's nothing wrong with being short at all I just know from experience that a lot of people wish they were taller.

See it as a good thing and not something to complain about is what I would say. Everything has its pros and cons.

It's been a while since I heard someone talk about this, last time I think it was when obese people made it to the news by complaining that the rides In theme parks were discriminating against them as they didn't have seats big enough for them. This one's way better in my opinion though

Uhh, because males want it for ourselves and females desire it in their males. Additionally, females don't like drawing attention to the fact that the things they want aren't attainable or changeable, whereas most of the things males want in their females ARE attainable or changeable, like not being fat. Females don't want to be seen as hypocrites, so they don't bring it up.

Whenever I see somebody that's really tall I make sure to never ask "If they play basketball" because I know they hear that all the time. People should really get that. Hear something to make you feel better. Your better being that height then being a Male Dwarf. Their Suicide Rates are very high. I think being that short does something to the Male Psyche.
