Yes, it's fine but there will be some issues with it. Yes chlorine will damage it. It will be more buoyant and make swimming not as natural. It will be a bit tight and somewhat difficult to get into and out of. They take a long time to dry and need to be cleaned properly each time to take care of them. It will also be quite hot if it is hot outside and you are in the sun for a period of time, as they are insulated.
My suggestion would be to use a lighter material such as a rash guard like this one shown. If the scars are on top you will find a lot of options in rash guards. The bottoms might be a little harder to find but they are there:

It doesn't have to be a 'wetsuit'. Nylon, or swimsuit material would work as well.
Google: full body swimsuit
There are plenty of options.
I have the same issue with scars. I just tend to stay away from pools & crowded beaches. Lucky for me there are plenty of lakes around here with no crowds of people. Actually many places there is no one but myself & a friend.
You probably could, but your going to float and the chlorine will wreck it over time.
A dive skin, like a Spandex bodysuit might be a better choice, and not so warm.
I'll look into dive skins, I'm really new at this so have no idea. Have you worn a wetsuit in a pool before? Is it actually warm when you are in the water? Or just out of the water?

Might look a little odd but if you're comfortable go for it
There's no problem at all. You can also wear a cute burkini.
Onc piece is going to cover the scar? Where is it located. Is there a scar or scars. How about water proof make up.
yes it is fine to wear to the pool. they can see your scars if/when they get lucky with you
I think it’s perfectly fine.
You’re going to be miserable in the summer.
It's an indoor pool, it's the same temperature all year
why not just stay out of the pool then?
I like swimming?
oh ok then by all means wear the wetsuit or you could just wear a one piece. one pieces usually cover up scars
