What oral piercings cause least damage to gums and teeth?

My family history consists of terrible teeth. No matter what we do, our teeth just give us problems. I would love an oral piercing. However, my gums are already receding and my teeth already suck, despite proactive care and good hygiene.

Are there any oral piercings that do little damage or any way to prevent it?

I have my toinge pierced.. no teeth issues (had it for close to 20 years !) Just as long as u switch to an acrylic bead after swelling goes down... and a shorter bar bell.
Just curious... what other oral piercings are there? Lol

There are the facial ones, like medusa or Monroe but I hear they also hurt your teeth. I'm considering a tongue but I don't want to crack my teeth more. Had one for a few years as a teenager. But orthodontist had me take it out for braces and it closed up fast

If you get an acrylic bead it does no damage.
And the ones you mentioned are facial piercings. Tongue is oral
Even my dentist says acrylic beads do no damage
I will warn you however. The healing is painful. Lots of ice
