Have you ever gotten sick from eating raw flour?

I know it’s recommended to cook flour and I know raw eggs can carry salmonella. Just not sure if there is anything inherently wrong with eating raw flour besides it tasting gross plain.

Yes I have gotten sick. It's how I found out you weren't supposed to eat raw flour. So yeah I ended up with food poisoning and it sucked!

You can buy cookie doughs that are safe to eat or make your own. You just gotta microwave or toast the flour till it reaches a certain temperature which will kill any bacteria

I don’t think so. I’m not sure that I’ve had much raw flour ingestion, but I don’t think it would taste very good it will be hard to rinse out of your mouth. Not sure about health issues regarding ingesting flour. I wonder if it would have a hard time passing through your digestive system because of how fine if is/consistency

As for me I have never gotten sick off of flour & knock on wood I hope it doesn’t happen. On the other hand I keep flour in the freezer because one time I had it in the pantry & I opened the bag of flour for the first & it had WEEVILS in it.

They claim anything with raw eggs ( including raw batter from making cakes, cookie dough, etc) can cause food poisoning, this one woman battle years of complications after she ate raw cookie dough, she never recovered so I tell my cousin do not to eat raw brownie mix cause it can cause you to get sick and food poison, she is like age 63 and acts age 9 year old

I have eaten raw pizza dough. Also there used to be paste we used in elementary school that was mostly flour. The teacher just put a ruler in the jar. I used to eat it right off the ruler.

No, I ate raw flower once when I was about 4 out of curiosity. Nothing happened, I think I washed my mouth out maybe because it kept sticking to the roof of my mouth. So maybe that's why I didn't get sick?

I don't think I've ever eaten raw floor but I don't think it would make you ill. It's just vegetable material and I don't think unspoiled raw vegetables will make you sick.

I’ve ate raw dough before when I was younger and nothing happened to me. It was given to kids at this one pizza place and I think it was meant to be played with but I ate it like a snack🤷🏽‍♀️
