Was it weird to get naked in gym locker room?

I went to a new gym in a new city for the first time today. It was all good but afterwards I got some strange looks in the locker room. It had a locker area and then a separate area of shower cubicles that was down a hallway. Whenever I take stuff into the cubicles it gets wet. So I just get naked in the locker area and walk over to the showers. Anyway, I did this today and got some really funny looks. Am I missing something? I thought getting naked in a change room wad ok? Is it not?

Mens locker rooms are usually full of naked bodies. That’s wear my experience comes from and from the ladies I’ve talked to they usually just notice what the other girls are wearing more so than whether they’re naked or not. But I would say you were perfectly fine

If it’s single sex I think it’s okay. I don’t usually take anything in the shower in case it gets wet so I walk to the showers naked. It’s never a problem.

No, It is completely okay if it is assigned just women. They should have a board saying No Nudity if it is not allowed.
