Yes it can and does work. But thie T2 isotrainer is superior by far. In fact, since doing this training I've built muscle everywhere and faster than when I did weights! I do it self anchored and do bicep curl, upright row, bicep curl to shoulder press, resisted squats, then I do resisted training that looks like I'm throwing forward punches and then I do overhead triceps extension. You can anchor to the door and do different things. When I do bicep curl to shoulder press, I use the bungee to anchor and that also gives me resistance from it similar to resistance bands.

The metal friction housing also multiples any effort I put it and it gets to the point I can't even more the handles at all. All resistance is constant time under tension. There is no cheating, no rest and you control the resistance by speeding up for less, or slowing down for more. This means you can do a warmup and then go straight into a heavy routine.
It's the best investment I've made for my strength training period.

Absolutely they do. I use them as my only form of muscle mass building. I do it twice a week as I’m more trying to tone than build anymore muscle. There are different bands that provide different levels of resistance.

I just work my way up until I find one that gives a good workout and stick with it. There are techniques that you can do with one band to increase resistance when/if you need it like creating a small loop and stepping on it to shorten the length and increase resistance.

Thanks. Great to hear. What weight range do you use? Do we need gloves to use it?

Honestly, mine was a set of three. Each is a different colour. I use the middle one and if I feel like I want more, I make a small loop, step on it and it increases a bit. Not sure the weight.

Mine have handle type things that have a soft grip. So, no gloves needed. As mentioned, I only do couple of times a week for toning.

You sound more like you want to build mass, which means you want that to be the focus of your routine.

Resistance band training can be a useful tool for building muscle as long as you’re gradually increasing number of reps and then the weight of resistance.

It does to an extent (and only if you’re a beginner). If you use it to aid with your pull up game or to add an added resistance to your weight training workout then absolutely
