Autism is a spectrum. There is no specific way that a person with autism will speak or act. Not to mention, age also is a big factor you will have to consider too.


Autism affects each individual’s speech differently, again, there is no specific way a person with autism will speak. Oftentimes, people who are on the severe side of the spectrum (level 3) might be nonverbal or have severe speech disorders. People who are on the moderate side of the spectrum (level 2) might struggle with speech disorders also or have short conversations in limited topics. People who are on the mild side of the spectrum (level 1) might be able to communicate fully but have difficulties carrying a conversation or read social cues.
[Note: These are all common communication/speech observations in each level of the autism spectrums, and of course, it isn’t always the same for every individual with autism]


I suggest you try to search google or youtube to find a specific video that you would like to see. For example, search up “adult with mild autism speaking/communicating” or “child with severe autism communicating.” I believe those would give you a sufficient example of how someone with autism will speak…
