I have been living with Bipolar 2 Disorder since childhood, medication off and on since 1992 has kept me somewhat sane. Whenever I need a mental rest, I listen to music tuning out the rest of the world as I slowly crawl back into my introverted shell for hours which have on occasion turned into a day or two. If not, music I have numerous markers, pens, crayons to color pictures in a coloring book (not the ones for children). Naps are good also; it just depends on the day or how much negative vibes I get from others. There's always a journal to write down how I am feeling, or I work on my book that I'm writing about my life on the Bipolar Disorder roller coaster.

I keep to myself for about a week, maybe a few weeks if necessary. I still see my partner since we live together, and I see family, but I don’t see friends. Which they don’t take personally since I’m a bit of a hermit sometimes.
