the way you get rid of all addictions. you just stop doing the thing you're addicted to.
the most vital part for your self to stick to it is: why? why do you wanna do it? the only reason you're not doing it is cause you didn't convince yourself that this has to be done yet. so work on that. nobody can tell you that, cause you gotta find what reason resonates within yourself.

Replace your habits that involve sugar with non-sugar substitutes. For example, juice with flavored water, pop/soda with diet versions, snacks with beef jerky, deserts with low/no sugar alternatives. Or, you could go strictly carnivore as an experiment for a month.

You need to have a strong WHY and have clear goals. The other day I was in the supermarket and I was eyeing some twinkies and donuts and cakes, but I told myself no because I was going to have a low-carb day that day. I lay ground rules for myself and I stick to them. That’s just a discipline you’ll just need to learn to build. It gets easier over time though. I also saw a Five Guys open up nearby and I really wanted to get some, but I knew that I already had pizza and beer the day before so I told myself I need to wait a full week of eating clean first, THEN I can get some Five Guys IF I work out at the gym that morning too. Again, setting ground rules for myself and sticking to them. That works for me. 🤙
Consistent, continual behavior for an extended amount of time is the key. I used to drink 6 Mt Dews and/or Cokes per day along with other sweets throughout my day/week.
It is initially very difficult to make the jump and find alternatives / change your behavior. You will initially need great willpower. Once you have had consistent and continual reduction in sweets intake you will eventually get to a point where you won’t need / desire it as much. I haven’t had a soda in almost 5 years and have recently reduced the amount of sugar I add into my daily coffees (usually 2 large cups/day). My replacements for soda: coffee and water.Do a hard sugar detox for 2 weeks. Your taste buds will become more sensitive to sugar and you will start finding things too sweet. You can still have sugar but won't ramp to having too much. If you wanna cut down on sugar more then do another short detox. Slowly you will lose your liking for sugar.
Addiction usually is caused by a trauma, and conquering the root of your addiction would help a tremendous amount.
If you don't want to do that, I would suggest, completely cutting out sugar and eat a plant based diet with some meats. Having sugar in moderation never worked for me, going a couple weeks without it takes away all my cravings.like any addiction you have to be ready for it and have the knowledge of what types of sugar there are like diet sodas have sugars they call them corn syrup now if you can't go cold turkey then put nectar in things to help you, but you need to cut done on that too but all of it is based on your well power and commitment
If it's sugary foods, find something like fruit to take away the need for pastries or whatever. If it's soda, you'd be surprised at how effective water bottles are
Stevia drinks. Avoid candy. Limit sweetened food. Steak and broccoli. Exotic meats, like gator and bison. Cherries. Lamb chops.
Wean yourself off slowly.Find alternatives or just go without completely... I suggest you try drugs and alcohol.
U can try jaggery... Or just try to shock your mind with the consequences if U not leave sugar at this point...
Like early ageing face/body
Won't be able to eat your favorite food/snack/drink
And if in case U won't stop U would have to take insulin daily with syringes... Worst is that excessive sugar will damage your organs internally and externally your fingers of leg would started to get decompose... Results in operating your legs to remove decomposed parttry to control your emotions. you gotta have a strong support system to help you with that. also too much sweet is really dangerous for your health, you could get diabetes and its not easy having it.
Mixing coffee with lemon gets rid of my appetite and craving, not sure if it works for sugar
Spend time in a care home or hospital with people with diabetes.
Kind regards,Use stevia and eat sweet fruits. Also get rid of any unhealthy snacks you have at home. Do more of strength training instead of cardio.
Thats prob the toughest. Because they put sugar in everything.
but slow, moderate behavioral change is most likely to succeed.Evey time you want to eat a candy bar you should smoke a cigarette.
Stop cold turkey. In about three months you won't crave it anymore. Curb you cravings with fruit.
