Why does the cold air or fan make me cough? help is it allergies?

I’ve always had allergies but minor things like terrible runny nose each morning but since 3 days if I turn on the fan it gives me itchy throat and cough. So I have to turn it off and hide stay warm in blankets. Is it dust? Am I allergic to the air or what lol. my sfudio is small with no windows.

Dust your fan first and foremost. I don’t know if you can afford one, but an air purifier helps 100% for me.
