    Maybe but maybe not. It self as a independent won't but if you are also not eating healthy and over eating fatty stuff then also sleeping a lot then yes.
    When your asleep you don't eat so you would lose weight but you would also save energy therefore burn less weight therefore if your asleep you also aren't excising burning off food you may have just ate leading to gaining weight.
    And because it effects metabolism that will slow which again will cause weight but that's more to do with the fact you're not making it better by exercising.

    So excessive sleep would depend on what you were doing before you slept. If you are starving before you sleep you are obviously not gonna gain weight. If you are eating junk food all the time then sleeping afterwards then yes.

    yes it does... sleeping less hours, and sleeping in excess can lead to weight gain, because it will mess up with your metabolism, sugar levels and other stuff

    worse if you also eat a lot, or eat badly... spend all day focused on screens with no physical activity and what not...

    if you're sleeping more than 9 hours often, it can lead to more issues than just weight gain

    there may be a link between excess sleep and weight after all in order to be healthy you have to eat right and sleep right i know i totally dont look like i do that which i kinda dont but i plan to xD this year im making the change lol.
