Half of my brain would hurt, sinus go off, lungs go off and heart would mess up for 2 damn years. Now all that has left and now my asthma is bad. 2 x I was in stores and I got brain fog my vision goes all white. The first time I got out of it when I thought go to hospital. 2 time I went into that a man said are you all right and that brought me our. My right lung quit working and the lung sac fell down. I am now left not knowing the day I fall dead and hit the ground. Thank you China I hope we take care of you.

Hi! ICU nurse here. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have seen a lot of "long haulers" come through my unit.

I truly don't think people understand what COVID and an ICU stay does to your body. And just because you survived COVID in the ICU does not mean you are done. We send you to a step-down unit and depending on how bad it was, you may be there for awhile going through rehab. And then you are still feeling the after effects once discharged.

It just sucks.
