Is 30min walking YouTube video ok to lose weight in 8 months?

I'm travel overseas in April for a month.

I've put on a bit of weight & wanting to get rid of it.

My workdays are Mon-Fri, 6am from when I get up and about 6:15pm when I get home.

By the end of the day I'm tired & sometimes can't be bothered doing exercise on the treadmill.

Are walking workouts on YouTube ok? It's usually just someone doing walking workouts in their home but moving around.

I usually walk home which is 30mins but I'm in winter & it's been raining a lot so can't do that at the moment.

Is 30mins an ok length or should I be doing more?

I'd like to lose at least 5kgs
