Do you wash your hands if you touch your genitals in a non-sexual way? Do you clean the surface the comes in contact with your genitals?

I personally have the feeling that everything that comes into contact with my genitals should be cleaned immediately - be it my hands or any surface or anything.

I do, and have to really push it to the back of my mind that a lot of people I know probably don't. Out of everyone I have shared a bathroom with, only a handful of them take longer than 60 seconds total. Or 100 if they're women. I asked before, and was told "I didn't get pee on my hands so why should I wash them?" I have roomed with strangers who run the sink so it sounds like they wash their hands, but when I have gone after them and washed mine, the hand towel is completely dry.

I don't know why washing your hands after using the toilet isn't as regular practice as wearing shoes. It should be. Just because you don't get pee on your hands doesn't mean you didn't touch yourself. And even if you're a woman, toilet paper is very thin, and if you aren't waxed or something I think it will still be difficult to avoid touching something of yours during the process. At the very least you touch your underwear, which most people don't think is clean enough after being worn to use as a tissue, or an oven mitt, or a glove...

Hmm tricky question - but I’ll give it a shot. When I urinate I hold my penis in front of a urinal or toilet. So I wash my hands. If I have to sit on a toilet, I will try to use a toilet seat cover if there’s no pee on the seat, but if there is I’ll clean it up with toilet paper then use the toilet seat covers. Then at night I will take a shower and wash and scrub every part of my anatomy paying special attention and care to my penis. Sometimes my penis will get erect in the shower from all the soap and washing but I’m not masturbating. (I do that later 😉)

Thanks for the answer. I was curious if you are sitting without clothes somewhere or practicing naturist lifestyle, you wouldn't be concerned about the cleanliness of the surface or thing touched by your genitals?

I do not and never have touched my sexual organs in a sexual way and thus, I only touch them when I have to take a shower or wipe them after miction. My breasts that unfortunately are also considered as sexual organs by a number of men are equally never touched outside a shower or for the regular check for breast cancer nodules.

I certainly do wash my hands thoroughly for at least 30 seconds before AND after urinating as well as before AND after defecating. Furthermore, I do always clean the toilet lid at my place before and after any of the regular business.

I try to avoid to have to use public toilet but if I have no other option, rest assured that the toilet lid is cleaned thoroughly before any of my business. Washing my hands in public places follows the same routine as at home. In addition, I will use an alcohol based solution after washing my hands and after opening the door to the public washroom with a paper towel.

I just wanted to know if you are comfortable with the touch of genitals on any surface or your hands or do you consider that surface unclean if touched by genitals e. g. if you are sitting on a couch without clothes, would you consider it unclean afterwards?

No, I am not comfortable with my genitals touching any surface. That is why you will never catch me without underwear or clothes when alone at home. Also, I would never tolerate a pet at home because it is unhygienic when they sit on a couch or chair with their genitals or anus touching the furniture.
