Are you in the shower FOREVER, like me? Or do you hustle in and out?
I know many men and quite a few women who take extremely quick showers. I’ll never understand how that’s possible or enjoyable but do see the time and water saving value in being fast.
I really mean it when I say I take FOREVER in the shower. It’s so warm (never hot) and relaxing! I wash all, scrub all, shave all and condition my hair for 10-15 minutes. I end with a coconut oil rub down (for moisturizing benefits) and a final shock of freezing cold water on my face, hair and body. This takes me about 30-40 minutes.
What’s your shower routine? How long does it take you? Can you handle HOT water or do you prefer warm to cold or freezing cold water?
as you could probably guess... I do go for the coldest shower possible, lol
even during the winter months, cold shower as well, I just don't do hot... do no enjoy warm either (unless.. it is with great company of course, and that would be the only reason) and then, it would take me around 20 minutes to be ready, in and out, cool and fresh
and I also shower at least twice every day... right after waking up, and right before bed, for rest, many times I shower a third time during the day and that's either after sport, or getting sweaty for any other reason, I don't like to feel warm at all... or if I do need to go somewhere and change clothes, I'll take a quick shower first
The last 2-3 mins of all my showers is in freezing cold water. You’ve got me interested now! I’m going to see how long I can make it next time. I don’t expect my balls to be as big as yours though!!! Brrrr!!
Good to know!!! Cold water showers WOULD help me hurry the hell up in there!!! Lol! I even find 30-40 minute showers ridiculous but I’m like an old dog set in my ways!!! Haha. And it’s a great place to finally get some peace and quiet!
Well, hmmmm maybe the female version of the main character from Tim Waggoner’s book, Nekropolis. Being a zombie private eye would be exciting!!! Plus I’d eat tons of brains!!! Haha. I’d be scary smart! Hahahahaha
Jazz, blues, punk, funk, reggae, trance, hip hop, trip hop, chill hop, some rap, some country, some pop (don’t judge…some is catchy as hell), acoustic, house, progressive house, tropical house, flamenco, some rock, alternative, alternative rock, indie, soul, R&B, dub step, jungle, break beats (when I’m kicking it old school), love drum and bass, and I love classical piano or lo-fi anytime but especially when I need to focus!!! Also, I’m a sucker for holiday music!!!
I tend to be in for a long time. At least 15 minutes. Bugs my wife no end.
Never, ever cold water. Did too much of that in the Navy. Hate cold showers passionately.
Routine is hair first, so I can get conditioner in. Wash. Rinse everything. Shave if it's that time. Then ruminate on life, the day, documents that need to be written, etc.
Depends on the season and the weather. In fall and winter I tend to have warm showers; hot if I’ve had a long hard day and by hot I mean I wait for lava and come out looking like a boiled lobster. In summer I have cold showers, I’ll also have cold showers if I’ve travelled somewhere warm. I don’t spend more than 5 minutes in the shower unless it’s one of those cold exhausting days in which I’m in there for about 20 minutes or until it gets hard to breathe.
Hot showers for as long as it takes, I like when the room gets steamy, shave, wash and condition my hair. I love high water pressure as it massaging my body, then rub down with a towel and moisturiser.
I am rarely in the shower more than 5 minutes - and I know because the main light is on a motion sensor with a 5 minute timer, and doesn't pick up movement in the shower. I am usually finished before the light goes off. But I'm not in there for enjoyment and relaxation, I am there to get clean, so I focus on the task at hand.
I prefer hot water. 15 minutes max even though I have really long hair. I actually posted a question last week asking why people take 30-40 minute long showers. Energy/waste wise, it drives me nuts that they do that!
I do it!!! 💗 I have a busy schedule and two children that I constantly cater to, probably more than I should. Along with that I’ve spent the majority of this year caring for my mother through her chemotherapy treatments and now (thankfully) her recovery. When I get in the shower I find peace and quiet. Time slows and no one needs a thing from me…. usually. It’s my hide away…my time for me. 15 minutes would never be enough.
I like my showers looooong and hotttt. My shower routine goes like this: step in, get everything wet and warm.. shave my balls.. shampoo my hair and wash my body.. rinse.. condition my hair, underarms, pubic hair, and body.. shave my face (if needed).. rinse.. stand and soak up the heat from the hot water for several minutes as it washes over and runs down my body.. turn off the shower and dry off!
It depends on the season & other things as well. In the summer after I cut the grass on a hot day I like a cold shower to cool me off & in the winter the opposite. If I have a cold I like a hot shower because it opens my nose a little.
I use the cold bath for meditation purposes. I set to the coldest water and wait for the bathtub to fill with me inside. It's not as much of a shock as a cold shower so it's doable and I get similar benefits.
Haha that’s totally me in the bathroom! As a child, my father used to bang on the bathroom door and yell “what’d you get lost in there”! Lol. I do get lost in there!!
I only had one bathroom growing up so yeah it was annoying of me. But I also had to share one bedroom with three sister so playing in the shower was my escape! I did so much reading in the tub as a kid!
Now I have three bathrooms so no one really NEEDS to use the one I’m in. Sometimes I pretend I’m showering under a waterfall on a beautiful tropical island! Lol
I like hot but not too hot. I take a bit in there since I shave upper and lower. Make sure all parts are clean as well. I guess usually 15 to 20 minutes since the drain sucks or I would be in longer.
I don't like my shower water to be too cold or too hot. Do you know the health benefits of a 15 minute warm shower. It lowers your blood pressure which is very good for persons with high blood pressure. I usually take 15 to 20 minutes.
I prefer warm. I certainly don't want to be freezing and I don't want to be burning either. Plus, water that is too hot isn't good for your skin. It can dry your skin out and stuff.
I’ve been in many situations where cold showers or washing off in cold river/lakes was the only option. I am definitely going to do whatever it takes to be clean, but I’m not a fan of the cold shower/bath
Depends on the intent of the mission. if it's cleanliness, hot definitely seems preferable, if say I've spent my day reading erotic horror then cold is likeliest way to go🥶🔵🔵🔵🔵
