Bad headache treatments help?

Hi guys back with another question here 😂

I've had this really bad headache over the past 2 days. I've taken 8 lots of codamol (I think I have taken all the max that I can take rn) since then to help the pain. It helps for a few hours and the rushes back.

I can't tilt the left side of my head nor lift my head all the back without being in pain. I also can't keep on calling the doctors. Ideas please?

Edit: Unfortunately I can't take anything with parcotomal in it either 😕

Well, medicine can help relieve pain, but it won’t help what’s triggering the pain.

You’re possibly dehydrated, unless you hit your head or have some other condition of some minor brain swelling, or some growth of any kind. Best thing to do is handle this headache from A-Z. Do the basics on your part, but don’t hesitate to ask the doctor for a scan/ x-ray, to check up on your brain/skull region.

For now, making sure you’re hydrated, will help any dehydrated-induced headache, from coming back. Water helps, but you may need a quicker remedied result for now. Try a power drink like Gatorade/Powerade, if your shops have them, or a Pedialyte drink/ or any other replicating brands, but with the same ingredients- electrolytes.

This could also be sign of some vitamin/nutrition deficiency. Could ask the doctor if you have any. In the meantime, if you have any vitamins in a cabinet- apply those: vitamin B, vitamin C, D, and/or A, iron; magnesium. If you don’t have access to them, having some bananas, cups of milk (if tolerant), and boiled eggs (if tolerant), should help with iron, potassium, and protein.

Once you’re hydrated, and a bit supplemented, you can try any headache reliever like a Tylenol/ibuprofen (in reasonable and sparing amount). If these brands aren’t available, try replicate brands. After you’ve done this, you can also try drinking some water, a bit throughout the week, just to keep a balance within your body and it’s hydrated system.

If the headache persists, definitely ask the doctor for scans, and any tests on possible deficiencies.

While you do all of the rehydration process, try to get a max of 5 to 7 hours of sleep. 8 if you need, and limit screen usage if possible. 👐

If your hedache feels like its going to explode, and you dont normally suffer from migraines, I would seriously go to the emergency room of a hospital or one of those walk in places that can treat you right away. Headaches are warning signs to your body that something is wrong. It can be the start of a bad cold, or the flu, or even Covid. If your vision is not clear, and if you feel nauseous you can ask yourself what could have caused this headache. Did you hit your head on something? That could have lead to a concussion.

So I'm hoping you are better and if not--head on out to see a doctor asap.

Do you want to tell me a bit more about the symptoms you're experiencing?
Things I want to know is when it happened, all the feelings, where on the head it hurts?
I see you've taken paracetamol with codeine, so usually I would hope that's cleared it but you say it hasn't.
Also include where you're from so I know if I can help more or not

Try a hot shower and let the water spray full force on your head, neck or shoulders which ever feels best and let massage you fir about 15 mins it should completely relax you then lay down and rest in a dark room.

Transition to acetaminophen (Tylenol) coupled with naproxen 220mg.
