yes if it seemed like a good idea for health issues and I had the $ to blow. at your age, shouldn't be needed but if you use your phone all the time or bluetooth, then maybe moreso.
as a general analysis... only if had the $ to blow on fun stuff.
As for me I have health insurance & in the event an MRI wasn’t covered I would totally shell out $800.00 plus tax. On the flip side I would make sure to get a receipt & claim it & itemizes it as an out of pocket medical expense when I file my taxes.
With those high deductible insurance plans, that what you'd pay anyways for it, until you reach your 10k deductible that the ACA caused plans to become very common with.
If you need it, you have to pay it, if you don't, then don't get the scan.
If it was my only option and I needed to know what was wrong yes I would. But I have insurance and while the wait is very long where I live I have had an MRI within a week of needing one because I have an amazing doctor

Private as in? I am not understanding that term.
A $1000 is too much for a simple MRI scan. We can get it done in about $120 in India. And about $100 with my parents doctors discount.
LOL, you're kidding, right?
A lot of people pay that WITH insurance!
I had a brain MRI this past year and my co-pay was in the hundreds.
MRI is way cheaper in my country thankfully. I think they should remove insurance in US and make healthcare more like USSR. Will see how many Doctors get Mercedes and BMWs from playing with people's health
It's 'free' here.
You might be dead before you get it, but still.
Why he hell do we have health insurance. After Obamacare the copay for a CAT scan jumped from 20 bucks to 200. That is bad enough.
Depends on the urgency of the situation. For serious things like cancer screening you need to act quickly, it's probably worth the cost if you end up on treatment sooner.
when needed, I have done it...
when it comes to health concerns, I just can't wait...
Fuck no! You know how much I paid for the last surgery I had? 14 bucks.
That's the power of socialized medicine in the USA and I did not have any wait time.
No, I wouldn’t. Maybe like $200 if it needed to be done.
If I needed the MRI, of course. That's a reasonable price to pay for one's health.
In this country, you can have that done for free.
If I needed an MRI and couldn't get it through regular channels I would gladly pay the $800.
i actually have an MRI scheduled in 2 weeks for a possible torn miniscus in my knee but thank God for health insurance 😷🌡️
Shit, no. I'll wait and get it done on the NHS.
Simples...
I mean, gotta do what you gotta do, depends how pressing it is
I paid $1,000 a couple of years ago.
In my country it costs €47,21.
No. Too shady.
I might if it was a full body scan.
