Can you get shooting pains from falling down on a step?

I was walking down some steps this evening after going out to dinner.

I missed a step and fell onto my back.

About a few minutes later my feet started throbbing & it feels like shooting pains, like sharp pain of pins & needles.

I walked to my taxi & keep stopping suddenly cause of the sharp, throbbing pain.

I can't go to the doctors now, as they are closed.

Do you know what it could be?

Sciatica is a condition where you have a fall and hit your back, but whatever way you've hit it, your nerves can become compressed and that leads to the nerve like pain you're experiencing such as sharp shooting pain in your legs and pins and needles.
I would get to a doctor as soon as possible to get it sorted out.

Pain relief at a pharmacy won't work because it's nerve pain. But if you feel throbbing pain and pain in your back, take some ibuprofen 400mg three times a day with food

You probably just caused swelling to your lower back and it’s putting pressure on your sciatic nerve.

Yes one can get hurt very bad falling down the stairs. Broken bones and shooting pain are commonplace when tumbling down the stairs. Go see a doctor.
