So I need some girl advice
I’m 19 nearly 20 and I have since I was 12 had horrific period and hormone related experiences
(Like bleeding for months on end or going months without a period, extreme cramps, and even face drying out to the point I looked like I had been burned. Anyway I found out three years ago I have PCOS. Since I was 12 I have been on the pill until I tried Nexplanon last summer. I had it removed like a couple weeks ago. It made my periods worse and I bled for six straight months and now I’ve bleed for almost three months long on my current period. The pills don’t work. Nexplanon makes it worse. I’m now on Depo and praying it works but it’s too soon to tell. However my gyno thinks I should get an iud and she told me that if Depo don’t work then I have no other options left. She also say an iud isn’t that bad. I’m honestly weak when it comes to pain and I’m terrified. I’ve been researching and watching tik toks
Can someone whose had one please please share their experience?
Does insertion hurt that badly?

I'm sorry you are going through all this.

I never had an IUD but my sister have had one and it went well for her. I don't think you have anything to worry about. The doctors should always listen to you. So if you stay stop they will stop and you can take your time. It's a doctor. They know what they are doing. But before making your desition. Ask questions and do research.. so it's good you are asking.

Depo is not a BC you want to be on long-term. I had a Mirena hormonal IUD implanted and it was the best option so far. It completely stopped my periods. Sure it hurts but I take 800mgs of Ibuprophen before walking in.
