My job gives me a lot of hand pain what should I do?

I work at a fish factory and I use a lot of metal tools for 8 hours a day de boning fish and I could work today as I’m suffering from bad hand pain

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and my fingers dislocate. I wear Silver Ring Splints on my fingers to protect my fingers. Now, I understand that the industry you work is dependent on speed and accuracy. Most industries like this pay by how many pieces you clean. These splints may slow your time down so I will caution you on that. Once you get used to them they work great. Amazon carries a plastic version of these splints called Oval 8s that are cheaper than the silver ones. However, the plastic ones are not as comfortable. The picture below are of my splints.

It's possible that holding a 'Digital Hand Dynamometer Grip Strength Measurement' in a static contraction for a short while may help. But your diet will also have an impact. You are probably low on vitamin D3, K2 and other minerals. Vitamin D3 and K2 will get rid of the inflammation and help strengthen the bones.

I don't know what country you're in, but most industrialized countries have disability and workman's compensation. It's work related, but I'd advise you try to get out of this type of work otherwise you're going to end up permanently crippled.

Good. Go to a dr and get treatment but be sure to tell them it's a workplace injury.

I phoned this morning to tell them about the hand pain. The plyers have metal handles not comfortable at all to use.

I wouldn't tell the workplace that happened because they'll just make some excuse to fire you if they think their workplace caused the injury. You should go to a doctor and tell that dr it's from your work. Then you'll be able to take time off with disability pay.

I know probably not but I have told the supervisor before and he seemed ok with it. Damn needing to find something soon I’m not liking this place

Nobody lasts long in the fish factory they have high employee turnover I doubt they will let me go since they are short of staff
