If I sunbathe but want to avoid the sun rays on my face, can I just put a face towel on my face?

You would maybe be better if you get a UV specific towel or fabric to cover your face up, just offers a safer protection against the sun. If you settle for a towel or hat, I'd still wear suncream to be safe!
