If I sunbathe but put a cotton face towel on my face will that block out the sun?

Short term like an hour or two you might get away with it. But baking for 3+ hrs and eventually it will just be a very SLIGHT delay. And your face will probably end up like 1 or 2 shades lighter XD. and you'll have an even stranger tan lines. Unless your like black or African or really dark South American. Gonna end up with like some intense 3 tones of sun tan XD.

Depends on the thickness. Cotton towels usually don’t have a SPF rating. It may block most but not all
