Why is it okay to neuter animals? If you can 'fix' a dog, why not a person?

People say it's okay to castrate an animal because it calms it down and makes it more subdued... that's not a positive! You are permanantly changing their whole physiology just so you don't have to give it as much attention. It is evil, in my opinion.

You are in a position of power over that living being - tell me how it would be any different from a mother taking her teenage son to get his balls chopped off because his hormones are making him act up more often? You are abusing the trust you are given just because you can legally make decisions for them.

It's not going to affect a human like removing testicles in a dog. But humans and dogs are two different species.

My preference would be to start with the criminal degenerates. Hormonally it would impact male children still in developmental stages of life. These changes we don't find unfavorable in household pets.

Your 43, I refuse to believe you don't understand what I'm getting at. Plants are basically robots, they have no internal thought. Animals are different (didn't think anyone would need that explaining to them). Also, I'm not a vegan - I understand humans are omnivores and the cycle of life - but I would still expect a farm animal to be treated well and put down humanely when the time comes. Similarly, there is no good reason to neuter a pet beyond laziness

We didn't choose to be omnivores, nature made that choice so to argue that we cannot do whatever the fuck we like to animals is absurd but ok you want to be a nice person and you decide you are going to not eat them but wait whats this? You still want to take them away from their own kind and force them to live with you and decide whether or not they are going to have families etc? Oh dear, turns out that that position is a morality mine field too.

So ok, you dont eat animals and you dont keep them as pets or wear leather shoes or use them to find lost children.

Because they are different to you, so they have no right to any kind of consideration and you have to eat something so if you take up the position which respects the life of plants it would mean your death and thats really why that isn't happening, morality is nothing to do with it, its a biological imperative.

Did you even read my other comment? I DO eat meat, I understand our place in the world as omnivores. Neutering animals has nothing to do with that, it has no basis on our health or our civilisation, it is just lazy owners not wanting to properly care for an animal. I believe that you shouldn't have a pet if you aren't prepared to care for it, and if you have to maim it before you can be bothered? Don't get them to begin with.
